Lux's Big Sister

Chapter 24

"Before I leave, Lauren, congratulations! I'm so happy for you! I know I don't know you but I'm happy for you." Jillian says giving her a hug.

I can tell she is warm hearted and not a crazy freak.

"Thank you so much! I didn't get your name." Lauren says.

"I'm... Anna. Now let's go Harry." She says smiling at her and grabbing my hand running out the door.

"Why did you run and not tell her your name?" I ask curiously.

"I don't want people knowing my name. Not a big deal! Now where are we heading?!" She shouts with an attitude.

I guess the pill had effected her so she now has 2 personalities. I really have no idea.

"We are taking a bus and heading to my aunts, 24th street." I tell her looking for the nearest bus stop.

We wait for maybe half an hour sitting on the bench. We were both quiet the first 10 minutes and now she's sleeping on my shoulder.

I felt bad for her. She's going through a tough time. I mean drugs and alcohol addiction is hard to get rid of.

I was about to shut my eyes and the bus pulls up. People jump on and push each other and Jillian and I are the last.

I poke her to make sure she's away.

I put her arm around my shoulder, because she just woke up, and help her up the stairs.

I sit her in the front and pay the fee, I'm ready to go.

He drives for maybe a hour and a half but it felt likes days.

I can't wait till we are there so I can rest and see my family for a bit.
