***Days later***
"Wake up Fraya, wake up my dear," came my mother's voice slicing through the shadows of my dreams making me almost want to wake up. "Wake up we have lots to do." She sang.
I finally opened my eyes not expecting to actually see her. I thought that I had been dreaming like I usually did. I thought that I finally had gotten rid of nearly all the guilt of our last fight. But here she was and the guilt came rushing back. But still here she was blonde hair blue eyes and all, I thought, maybe if I apologize and we make up I won't feel as bad.
"Mom! How? Why?" I sputtered.
"They needed someone close to the problem and to you to be able to train you my dear." she explained softly.
"What problem and why train me? I'm not special. I am no different than you or dad." I said but as I looked into her eyes and saw the sorrow that lurked there. I realized something bigger than me was going on. "Mom tell me what the problem is and what the hell it has to do with me. NOW!"
"I didn't want to have t tell you this way nor at this time. But I couldn't bring myself to do it earlier. There was never a good time, I could always convince myself that you were to young, to innocent. You were so close to your father, you would have told him and ruined everything. All of our preparations would be for naught. You have to know this though, your father has NOTHING to do with any of this. He will never know anything, he'd crumble under the pressure. I tried so hard to not tell you, to leave you out of it. But I had no choice but to tell you," she paused, "didn't you ever wonder why Demitrious and Calypsa were so nice to our family? Did it ever occur to you that you might be something other than completely human? Because my dear you are not. No you are not a complete demon, you are merely half demon."
I gasped and she glared at me causing me to shut up for her to continue.
"Anyway I figured out how to save you and Gaige. I would not have saved Gaige if it hadn't been necessary to have someone on the very inside. A special person. And I needed another anyway. You two are the perfect match," her eyes shone with a fervent light, "together you two will take over the demon realm. And become it's rulers. I will be your advisor. We, meaning Demitrious, Calypsa, and I think that Scarr has held the throne for far too long. The demons will be inferior compared to you an-"
"NO!" I cut her off.
She looked up surprised that I'd actually said no to something like that.
