Lestrade was showing them the way to the interrogation room while explaining what the police knew.
"Thank God you're here, Sherlock! This man came to us yesterday claiming he was one of the missing people. He wouldn't stop saying it and even demanded us to do DNA tests to prove it. We did them just to shut him up but when the results came everyone's chin dropped. There was an-"
"One hundred percent correct match... I know. I saw the news. And you wouldn't call me if that wasn't the case."
"Right... He's in there. Talk to him and please don't terrify him! And here, take a photo of the boy he claims to be.".
Lestrade handed him a photo of a boy. Probably 15/16 years old but a little short for his age, thin but with the physical of a sportsman, most likely football player.
Sherlock got in and John went right after him, closing the door.
"Good afternoon, Mr. ..."
"Michael Wakefield"
"Right... Please tell us what happened the night you 'disappeared' ?"
"I don't really know what happened. I spent almost 50 years trying to understand that. I remember being in my house and going to the yard and seeing a weird statue I hadn't seen before. I was going inside to ask my mother were it came from and all of the sudden everything went black and when I woke up I was in 1963. I traveled back in time! How?! Please help me sorting this out!"
Sherlock looked at John and John stared back with a worried expression.
"What? What do those glances mean?!" the man asked, frightened
"Nothing, Mr. Wakefield. Please calm down because we'll sort it all out" John said in a soothing voice
"For now we just need you to not say anything else to the police. We'll handle the rest."
Sherlock got out of the room as fast as he went in and John followed him while muttering something.
Lestrade then shows up next to them.
"So what did you get from the man?"
"Nothing" Sherlock murmured
"What? What do you mean with 'nothing'?"
"Nothing!... Let the man go. He's probably just suffering from dehydration or ate something that made him go mad."
"Just that? What is wrong with you? You look like you're trying to hide something!"
Finally John saved him from all the interrogation. "Lestrade, let him be. We'll head back to Baker Street so we can reach a conclusion."
After they left Scotland Yard, while they were walking, John asked "Do you think -?"
"Yes. We need to call the Doctor"
