Wills POV:

I see Nico across from me, staring into the distance.  Its so cute how he gets embarrassed when we do things like this.

Or maybe he's still pissed about last time we went for a canoe ride.  And fell out.  Oops.

"Nico, whatcha looking at?" I ask.

Nico scowls.  "Why should you care?"

I shrug.  "Seems your staring at the sun.  Which is my dad."

"Wow.  Really?!" Nico says sarcastically.  "Naw, I'm just thinking."

"Cool," I reply, waiting for him to tell me what exactly he's thinking about.

Nico doesn't tell.  I lean across the canoe and look him in the eyes.

"WILLIAM SOLACE GET BACK OVER THERE!" Nico shrieks in an un-Nico-like voice.  "THE CANOE'S GONNA TIP!  SOLACE I DEMAND-"

"You afraid of a little water, Nico?" I ask, scooping up some water and splashing him.

"Its not my type," he replies.  I snicker at his jab at Percy.

I take my seat at the other end of the canoe.  "Aww, but Neeks, I feel so far away from you," I complain.

"Don't even try to guilt me into this.  I just know this canoe is going to fall over," Nico huffs.

"Do you want to go back to shore?  We can't fall in the water on land," I say.

"Really?  I didn't know that, Captain Obvious," Nico teases.  "But yeah, can we go back?"

"Sure thing.". I start rowing us back to shore.  I can tell that Nico doesn't want to admit that he's terrified.

When we arrive at the dock, Nico scrambles out onto the wooden platform.  I grin at him.

"See?  We didn't die!" I say, patting him on the back.

"I didn't say we were going to die," he grumbles.

"Hmm, well, you seemed a little scared, babe," I tease.

Nico gets a mischievous look in his eyes.  Before I know what's happening, he shoves me into the lake.

"Ahhh!  Nico what the-" I shriek, flailing my arms.

He's just standing there smirking at me.  Gods damn it.

I spit out water and glare at him.  I'm not actually mad of course.  I can't be mad at Nico.

"You think this is funny, don't you?" I ask, grabbing his leg.  His eyes grow wide.

"Will, don't you dare...." he whispers.

"Too late.  Revenge is a dish best served cold..... like this water," I say, pulling him in.

"Fuck you William," he grumbles, his sopping hair in his eyes more than usual.

"I know you want to," I say winking.  Nico shoves me.

"When I said you make me wet, I never expected this," I add.

"Shut it, Solace, your dirty jokes will be the death of me," Nico groans.  "No pun intended."

I swim over to him and wrap my arms around him.  "Awww, Nico, I know you secretly think I'm funny!"

"I really don't," he says, but he's hiding a smile.

We're just wading in the water, my arms on his shoulders.  This is much better than being in the canoe.

I place a kiss on Nico's nose.

"You are a dork," he chuckles.

"I know."
