Kennedy's POV

We fly around for some time taking in the view of the city, agent Coulson points out the different New York landmarks as we pass them. The wind feels nice as it blows past my face and the fresh crisp air is refreshing after three days in that stuffy cell. As I sit staring out into space my current situation starts to sink in.

"I can't believe i'm going to live at Avengers Tower." I almost whisper, resting my chin in my hand.

"You're pretty lucky, if you were a few years older they probably would have left you in that cell. Are you ready to head to the tower?" He glances my way as he finishes. I nod my head,

"I just hope I don't act like a total dork in front of Tony Stark again."

"I know how you feel, I felt pretty dorky the first time I met Captain America." He chuckles.

"Do you think I'll get to meet Captain America?" I ask eagerly.

"If you're lucky you'll get to meet all the Avengers."

This is gonna be the highlight of my fangirl life! I need try and tone down the fangirling and not make a fool of myself."

"Trust me, when you're around Stark fangirl all you want, he loves the attention. The captain on the other hand, doesn't like being treated like a celebrity and would rather have a nice conversation with you and tell you stories about the old days."

"That's good to know, got any other getting along with the avengers tips?" He smiles and proceeds to tell me how Natasha will probably teach me everything she knows if I start asking questions, and how Clint is super casual and acts like a big brother to any younger agents who come along, and that Bucky is really quiet but if you can get him talking he'll talk to you for hours. I listen intently to his advice until we arrive at the tower, the hover-car slows to a halt and sets down right outside the door. Agent Coulson gets out and I follow as he walks through the tall front doors. Inside I find myself looking across an enormous lobby, my eyes wander upward to see the towering ceiling adorned with shiny globe shaped chandeliers.

"Wait over there." Agent Coulson tells me as he starts walking in the other direction. I look in the direction he pointed and and find some white couches spaced around with coffee tables between them, as I walk toward the couches I look around some more and notice some other things besides the size. The floor is covered in white tile and the walls are painted grey and white, most of the decor has hints of chrome, even the couch I am sitting on has chrome feet. If this is just the lobby I can't wait to see the other floors, I wonder where I will be staying. My thoughts are interrupted by the voice of a woman saying,

"Kennedy I assume?" I look up and see a tall with hair, just as vibrant as mine, pulled back into a tight ponytail. I stand up and respond,

"Um, yes, I'm Kennedy." She puts out her hand and I shake it.

"My name is-"

"Pepper, I know." I cut her off with a huge grin on my face. From behind Pepper I notice Agent Coulson and Tony Stark walking up together.

"Kennedy, welcome." He says before he even reaches me.

"Thank you for letting me stay, it's amazing to be here Mr. Stark." I manage to say the word I've been rehearsing in my head all day, and allow an ear to ear smile to sneak onto my face.
