Chapter 10: Make a Choice

《 Your P.o.v 》

"Thanks for saving me back there," I said with a grin.

"Yeah... no problem," Azul said with a smile.

He laughed a bit nervously and his usual smile shifted into an awkward one. I looked at him suspiciously and realized he may have heard what Laito and I were talking about.

"So what was with the whole 'want my body' thing?"

"Nothing you need to worry about," I said quickly, plastering my face with a normal smile.

He seemed to buy it and shrugged. "Oh okay," Azul said pushing that matter aside.

That was close...I can't have people know about the vampires...If someone else were to find out, I know for sure they'd kill me.

I went downstairs and saw Yui waiting in front of the school. "Catch!" I tossed her bag to her and she barely caught it but managed. I snickered, but she didn't notice.

"(Y/n)-chan the phone doesn't work!" she said running up to me.

"No kidding."

"But that's okay I have a plan b!" She exclaimed happily with a smile, putting two thumbs up.

"Really that's good, what's your pla—" Before I could finish she snatched my right hand and we started to run off the school campus. Huh... Why didn't we try this before?

"We run!" Yui and I ran into the city and went into the closest telephone booth we could. Yui put in her Father's phone number. Someone picked up on the other end and Yui spoke frantically.

"Hello Father, you need to help us! (Y/n) and I are put in a bad situation, and nothing makes sense!"

"Tell him about almost getting harassed!" I told her, so he'd know this was serious.

"No sense? Getting Harassed?~" Laito's voice echoed through the phone.

"How?!" Yui and I said in unison. I looked around us and saw Laito across the street. Yui was about to respond in the phone, until I dragged her out the phone booth and continued to run down the sidewalk of shops. After running a while I looked around and saw no vampire in sight.

"Taxi!"

"Take us to the cheapest hotel," I commanded the Taxi Driver. He looked back and nodded. Wait this Taxi Driver looked familiar.

"Steve?!" I said in awe. 

"Oh, hey (Y/n)!" He said driving to the cheapest hotel.

"How have you been?" I asked Steve.

"It's been good just taking up some driving jobs, in fact, I'm an uber driver now." 

As he drove us to a hotel, I talked with Steve the whole time.

"Alright, this is the stop girls," Steve said. I took out my school bag about to pay with some of the money Reiji gave me to pay for my lunches this month. I've been saving the money in case, and have been eating the things I made in cooking class.

"No need to pay, this one's on me," Steve said with a smile. I gasped and shook Steve's hand rapidly, "Thank you so much, Steve!"

 Yui and I got out of the car and looked up at the hotel. It was two stories and didn't look so bad. I thought it would've been worse, but my guy Steve managed to drop us off at a decent one.

Yui interlocked her fingers in mine and looked at me nervously, I squeezed her hand and we entered the hotel.

I went up to the lady at the desk who was a middle-aged woman.

"How much for a night?" I asked her.

"￥5,200," She said sweetly.

"Alright, one room please," I said and paid her the money. Yui and I went up into room 53. We entered and saw one Queen sized bed and a tv. Yui and I didn't mind there only being one bed since we used to have sleepovers before.

I collapsed on the bed and groaned. Turning around, I saw Yui sitting on the bed. I sat next to her and stretched out my legs. My hand reached out to the remote and I turned it on.

"It's my pleasure to introduce today's guest, Mr. Tougo Sakamaki." On the television he had short white hair and yellow eyes, his face was plastered with a fake smile.

"Karlheinz." Yui and I said at the same time. I looked at the tv and then to Yui, about to ask her why she knew his other name, but she fainted.

"Holy Crap." I cursed. I laid my head on her chest and heard a soft heartbeat. I put my palm on her forehead, it was hot. Okay, what the hell?!? She was okay like two minutes ago. I ran into the bathroom and wet one of the towels. As I was wetting the towel I saw someone appear in the mirror.

"Beatrix?" I said in disbelief.

"(Y/n), I can't talk to you long because you aren't at the manor, but I need to tell you this. Your friend Yui, you mentioned she's been seeing Cordelia?"

"Yes," I replied. I figured out who the lady Yui has been seeing by telling Beatrix the description Yui gave me.

"I believe Cordelia will awaken soon in Yui's body. Cordelia will take over Yui's body and try to kill Karlheinz along with the Sakamaki brothers. Not only will they die but so will Yui if Cordelia permanently takes her body." Beatrix explained.

"No... we just escaped.... it can't be Yui..!" I said in disbelief.

"Yui was chosen because Cordelia's heart was put in Yui's body when she was young."

"I have a plan that can save her but—" After this Beatrix started to fade a bit.

"I'm sorry (Y/n) I'm not strong enough to continue talking here... You need to come back... " Beatrix said disappearing from the mirror.

I walked out of the bathroom and came to Yui's side. I placed the towel on her head and tucked her into the blankets. I went back into the bathroom and locked the door.

"GODDAMMIT!" I shouted, and slid down against the door, burying my face in my knees.

We'd just fucking escaped those sadistic little fucks, and now we have to go back and go through all that damn torture again. And Yui... if we go back... she'll just keep getting hurt over and over again... I can manage against them... but Yui...

"Fuck...!" I let a few small tears fall out of frustration.

"If we stay there for too long... they might kill Yui..."

But If I stay here, she'll definitely die.

I have to make a choice. 

Yui and I finally escaped the House of Hell, but Cordelia's going to take over and kill Yui. If I go back I could find out what Beatrix's plan is and possibly save Yui, but I don't know if we'll ever get a get another good chance to escape. I'm don't know what to do...
