Layla's POV

It's been a whole week since moving into University halls. I still don't know whether or not I'll get use to the accommodation.I'm going to be honest I don't really like it. There's no one here that I've clicked with yet. Who knew it would be this hard to make friends. I suppose it's difficult when you know you haven't found the right people.

I've decided to visit my cousins. They lived quite close to my university accommodation. before I got out I called one of my cousins to let her know I was coming. Afterwards I checked google maps just to make sure that I knew the exact way to their house.

University life for me wasn't exactly how I imagined it would be. Same old routine every single day, such as waking up at around 7/8AM depending on if I have lectures or seminars that day. So I would get ready and take the things that i'll need with me. Then I would come back maybe try and get work done and make something to eat that could later potentially cause food poisoning.

I got to the front door of my cousins house. Just after I rang the door bell my cousin Jameel opened the door. "You alright Layla?" He said as I stepped in "How did you come here by yourself?" Jameel asked. "Well there's something called Google that's how" He smirked at the stupid remark I came up with. "Where's afa?" (Meaning older sister) "Shes upstairs, you can go up there if you want" Jameel gestured to the stairs. I nodded and took my shoes off before walking up the stairs.

My cousins place was like a second home to me. Before actually moving to London I use to always come here and stay. We use to play ludo, monopoly and have movie nights. When we were younger both of my cousin sisters use to stay at mines every summer and we use to go out to different places like theme parks, shopping centres and so many other places. It's been a really long time since we've all done something together. Now everyone's busy with their own lives like work, college and other commitments, it's kind of sad but that's just how life goes I guess.

I knocked on afa's bedroom door. "Yeah, who is it?" A female voice yelled from the other side of the door. "It's me afa, Layla" I replied. I opened the door and walked in. "Heey Layla! How are you??" Afa got up from her bed and walked over to hug me."aww I'm good" it's been soo long " she said I then walked towards her bed and sat down.

"How's your uni going?" Afa asked "erm... yeah not too bad" I didn't want to say how it really was like because I didn't want her to start getting worried about me. But it's not like I'm getting bullied, harassed or anything. So it could've been a lot worse.
