"See you tomorrow guys!" (y/n) called to James and Lily as the three of them separated at the Head Boy and Head Girl's dorm. Remus, Sirius and Peter had remained in the common room in order to unpack their suitcases and, in Remus' case at least, to supervise the younger pupils.
"Yeah, see you for breakfast!" Lily replied as James held open the door for her. She waved goodbye to (y/n) and whipped around to walk through the door, her ginger hair spinning around behind her.
"Say g'night to the others for me," James asked as he stepped through the threshold.
"Will do," (y/n) told him. "See you in the morning James."
"Night, (y/n)," James yawned.
(y/n) wandered up the flights of stairs, jumping the gaps and waiting for and the moving staircases. She passed the many portraits which were fading with age, yet full of life - they were moving, after all.
"Password?" the Fat Lady asked in her operatic voice when (y/n) finally reached the common room.
"Wiggentree," she answered. The portrait hole opened and when she stepped through was met with an unusual sight.
The common room was empty, with the exception of Peter half-dangling out the window. When she walked over to the window to find out what was going on, she saw that Peter was struggling to hold onto the ankles of her twin who was grabbing onto Remus' arm.
"(y/n)? Could you give us a bit if help?" Peter asked.
"What're you doing?" (y/n) exclaimed.
"We'll explain later, just help us out!" Remus squealed.
"Fine," (y/n) sighed. She stepped back from the window a bit and pulled her wand out of her back pocket, pointing it at Peter's tie.
"What're you doing?" Peter asked wearily as he turned his head to look at (y/n).
"Now, boys, this may hurt a bit but just hold onto each other, alright?" (y/n) instructed, stepping away from Peter and sitting on the sofa, still pointing her wand at the boy's chest.
"Okay," the boys mumbled reluctantly.
"Accio tie," she chanted. Peter was pulled backwards by his tie onto the sofa next to (y/n), strangling him slightly in the process. However, he pulled Sirius with him who, in turn, pulled Remus with him.
"That was an experience," Sirius gasped.
"Definitely," Remus breathed. "Thanks, (y/n)."
"Any time boys," (y/n) told them. "Sorry if that hurt, Peter."
"It's all right," Peter mumbled, still attempting to soothe is neck by taking his tie off and rubbing the sore parts.
"So, care to explain why you were dangling out the window?" (y/n) prompted.
"Oh, that, right," Sirius started. "Well basically, Moony was eating chocolate again and I thought that he should at least last one day without munching on the stuff so I threw the bar that he was eating out the window and he decided to jump out after it because it landed on the window ledge and then I had to grab his arm and then Peter grabbed my ankles and then we couldn't get back up."
"You're unbelievable," (y/n) laughed, shaking her head. "You didn't think of an Accio charm?"
"Heat of the moment," Remus stated with a shrug of his shoulders and biting his nail.
"You're mad," (y/n) sighed with a smile, then shivered. "Could one of you close the window? It's freezing in here."
"Or we could have a...GROUP HUG!" Sirius shouted, tackling the other three on the sofa sending everyone into a fit of giggles.
"Stop, stop, stop! I can't breathe," Peter wheezed.
"You're such a wimp, Wormtail," (y/n) laughed.
They continued to tickle and tackle each other like the mature seventeen year olds they were until they were stopped by a cough from the staircase to the boys' dorms.
"Excuse me," the boy said. (y/n) recognised him as the new sixth year prefect. "Could you keep the noise down a bit? There are people around here who would like to get some sleep."
"Well no one else seems to be complaining, so why don't you scurry off to beddy-byes," Sirius mocked.
"Ugh," the sixth year muttered, turning away and walking up the stairs back to his dorm room.
"Actually," Peter yawned, "I think I may go to bed."
"Same here," Sirius agreed.
"What's happened to you? Old age drained your energy or what?" (y/n) asked in shock. "Fine, go to bed then. I'm going to stay down here for a while and read."
"I may to do that too," Remus said.
"Well have fun, nerds," Sirius laughed as he made his way up the stairs with Peter on his tail.
"Night boys," (y/n) called.
"Night (y/m/n)," the two boys replied. "Night Moony."
"G'night," Remus shouted. He walked over to the desk and grabbed the book he was reading earlier while (y/n) ran upstairs to find her own. Eventually, she found her favourite, (title of your eighth favourite book (because obviously all seven Harry Potter ones are your first seven favourites)). It was a good read and she was sure she could get through the first six or seven chapters by the time one o'clock came around in an hour's time.
"Remus, come sit over here," (y/n) ordered gently to the boy sitting at the desk.
"A-all right," he obliged, dragging his feet over to the sofa in front of the cracking fire and plopping down next to (y/n). They curled up together and continued to read in silence for what seemed like only minutes.
The silence was finally broke when Remus decided to snap his book shut with a loud clap.
"That scared me then," (y/n) breathed.
"Sorry," Remus apologised, "Well I finished it, so I'll probably be off to bed."
"What time is it?" (y/n) asked.
"About half past one," Remus replied after glancing at the clock in the corner of the room.
"I'd best be off too," (y/n) said, closing her book and standing up from the sofa. "Night, Remus."
"Night, (y/n)," Remus replied at the the foot of the staircase to the boys' dorms. "Sweet dreams."
"You too, Remus."
