Spring had finally arrived and brought with it the fresh chill of the morning air. The gentle breeze made the trees dance with the movement and the emerald grass was bejewelled with dew.
Yet again, the Great Hall was alive with the buzz of friendly chatter and the clinking of cutlery whilst everyone ate their breakfast.
"Remus Lupin, enough of the chocolate already!" (y/n) exclaimed as she saw him eat his sixth slice of chocolate covered toast that morning.
"But it's just so nice," Remus stated, still munching away. "It's my favourite thing!"
"Same for me, I guess," (y/n) replied. (A/N if you don't like chocolate just go with it).
"I doubt you like it as much as me."
"I probably like it more than you."
"Impossible!"
"Quite possible actually," (y/n) smirked, resting her elbows on the table and placing her head on the backs of her hands. "I once dreamt of living in a chocolate house."
"Chocolate house?"
"Yeah! See, I love chocolate more than you."
"Prove it," Remus said, mimicking (y/n)'s position and leaning across the table to get closer to her face.
"A little competition," (y/n) started. "Whoever's most determined to show they're the biggest chocoholic wins."
"Deal," Remus said.
"Seal it with a kiss?" (y/n) asked sweetly, leaning closer.
Remus rolled his eyes but leant in for one anyway and just as their lips were about to touch, (y/n) pulled away and left her seat, leaving Remus hanging in mid-air.
"We start now, by the way," (y/n) grinned, taking a bite of the chocolate covered toast that she just stole from Remus' plate.
He looked at the food in her hand, down at his empty plate and back at(y/n) who was now walking out of the hall.
"It's on, Black!" he shouted to her.
"Don't you know it!" she shouted back.

That afternoon, (y/n) and Lily were sitting at the desk in the common room, trying to complete the Defence Against the Dark Arts essay they'd just been set, an hour before the evening feast.
(y/n) reached over the inkwell and picked up one of the chocolates from the bowl she'd brought down for Lily and herself to have some motivation.
She popped the small piece of food in her mouth and whispered, "How can we come up with ten ways to spot a werewolf when one's my boyfriend who I know everything about and I can only come up with seven?"
"Have you got about scars?" Lily asked.
"Yeah, it's the first thing I wrote down," (y/n) replied.
Lily sighed exasperatedly, pulling her hair and letting her head fall to the desk with a loud bang.
"Ouch," she cried quietly.
