I wish I could take off my skin like a coat and not be myself anymore.

I wish I could call you up and scream into the phone, making your ears shrivel up from the shrill noise.

I wish I could shrink like a violet and make you all look away from me.

I wish I could blow up like a balloon and float past the horizon and never come back down to Earth.

I wish I could climb to the very tip top of a tree and close my eyes and breathe.

I wish I could lay in a field of grass and wildflowers and think of nothing at all.
