Chapter 14
“Hey, I thought we were meeting up at the exit?” I asked slightly baffled at why he was here.
“Yeah, we were but I thought we could go and grab something to eat first because tonight is going to be a long night.”
“Okay. Let me just go and grab my bag.” I rushed into my room and grabbed my mini tote bag and went over to Lola’s room. “Bye Lola.” I shouted through the door but when there was no reply I pushed the door open an inch so I could hear what was going on. She was on the phone with her back towards me. I was about to walk away when I heard my name mentioned.
“Yeah Jamie’s clueless and yes she received your text. She has no idea that I’m involved and Liam didn’t see me when he visited so he had no idea that she is ready to be taken. Jamie is going out tonight but if Liam does not show up I will bring Jamie in when she gets back.” I didn’t hear the rest of the conversation. I crept away from her door and ran into my room and grabbed my duffle bag. I stuffed a few pieced of clothing and ran back out to see Danny still waiting out near the front door.
“Come on lets go.” I say shutting the door behind me and pulling him down the corridor.
“Wait Jamie what is the duffle for?”
“What this?” I point to my bag “It has my clothes in it.”
“Why” This was his second question and it was starting to annoy me.
“Oh well tomorrow I’m not coming back. I am going to visit my Aunt for a few days.”
“Okay. Do you want to put in the back of the car?”
“Um... okay. Where is your car?” I said looking around trying to figure which one was his.
“Well we are not taking my car. My brother let me borrow his.” I found this a bit strange as I had never heard him speak of a brother before. I knew he had a sister named Michelle but I had never heard him say one word about his brother.
“I didn’t know you had a brother.” I decided to state it out load.
“Well I never really talk about him or to him for a matter of fact. However these few weeks he has been trying a lot harder to get to know me.”
“O. That’s great. My brother only came to see me the other day too. I never realised how much I had missed him.” The journey was actually quite fun as we listened to music and chatted about anything and everything. When we turned the corner all I could see was amazing warm coloured lights.
“Wow it is so beautiful.” I couldn’t help but gaze in astonishment.
“I know. It’s a great place.” We got out of the car and made our way to the fair entrance. All of a sudden I felt a tingle through my arm. I looked down to see my hand in Danny’s.
