I stood there in complete shock. He- he just-

"Can't find anything to say, Hopkins?" His laugh bounced off the walls in the tiny space. "Did I just make all your dreams come true?"

"Yeah," I said, "my nightmares. Why would you do that? I hate you, and you hate me! Why?" He just smirked again.

"I told you I make it my business to know of beautiful women," he said, "and you are no exception." I scoffed.

"My looks have nothing to do with this. Why?" He shrugged.

"It's such a waste of our time to fight, don't you think? It could be better spent doing something else." I gagged.

"In. Your. Fucking. Dreams, Malfoy."

I pushed him back enough so that I could wedge open the door and check if anybody would see me coming out of the broom cupboard with Malfoy. The coast was clear, so I quickly slipped out and stomped away.

"Goodnight, Hopkins!" He called lightly after me.

I put up my middle finger without looking back.

"Go to hell, Malfoy!" I sang, rounding the corner and beginning to sneak back up to my room.

**

"Where the hell have you been?! It's past curfew! Are you normally not present? Or is this a special occasion? Ooh, were you actually shagging somebod-"

"Pansy, shut the hell up." I finished changing into my pajamas and plopped down onto my bed. "I've had a long-ass day, and I just want to sleep now. No, this is not normal and NO, I was not 'shagging' anybody. Those are just rumours and you'd do well not to believe them."

Pansy pouted as she sat down on her bed, still facing me.

"Oh come on, Roomie," she protested, "tell me something!" I sat up and shot her a glare.

"Here's something," I said, and, for the second time that night, stuck up my middle finger.

Let me set the record straight a moment. Raina Hopkins is a highly-educated, sophisticated, elegant young lady who prides herself on her reputation and good marks. She does not get into trouble, arrive late to or skip a class, or curses at anybody. She is poised, and keeps her composure in arguments by responding with crafty and subtle insults.

She does not flip many people off.

However, Draco Malfoy seemed to unlock a side of me, Raina Hopkins, that was incredibly crude and petty, and I was desperately wishing to re-seal the vault.

Raina Hopkins is classy, not trashy, and tries to steer herself clear of any bullshit. Except when it comes to fighting with the Gryffindors.

"I just want this day to end, okay Parkinson?" I asked, getting under the bed sheets.

"Just please let me sleep."

"Fine, but tomorrow," she said, pointing her finger at me, "we're going to talk."

I am so getting up early to avoid that.

**

"Now if you look in your textbooks, the constellation Leo is shown. Can anybody tell me what Leo is supposed to be and what time of year it is visible?"

I stifled another yawn as I listened to Professor Sinistra. I loved stars, but I had to admit, these constellations looked nothing like what they said they were supposed to be. Plus I had gotten up super early to avoid Pansy at all costs. I mean I woke up and was out of our dorm by 6:30 in order to not be there when she woke up at 7:00.
