Third Person POV
It was the middle of the night when four people walked up to a house in Arizona. There were two men and two women, one of the men wore all black with a skull ring on his finger, the other man had a bow slung over his shoulder and hair as blond as gold both around their mid-twenties; the women looked both relatively young in age around their young teens, one had a bow slung over her shoulder like the man but her hair was auburn in color and she was carrying a gleaming silver quarter staff, the other woman had brown hair and was carrying a baby that didn't look older than three months old. The woman holding the baby looked at the man wearing black.
"Hades... you do know that this child is of both Roman and Greek decent correct? From both of us... he is one of the strongest children alive... we can't let Zeus know about his existence" The woman holding the baby said
"I know Hestia, but it was the only way. I know you wanted a child to call your own but in order to be made from the hearth it required both of our aspects..." Hades stated
"Uncle, we are here. This will be a good spot to keep watch over the young demigod. Until he becomes of age that is" the man with golden blond hair said
"Thank you Apollo, I hope you will look after him?" Hades said as Hestia laid the baby on the door step
"As if he were my very own, no offence" Apollo said and the woman next to him rolled her eyes
The woman kneeled down to the baby and put the silver staff next to the child.
"It's better than nothing should the child need protection from monsters." The woman said
"Thank you Artemis, you didn't have to do this you know" Hestia said
"If it was anyone else I wouldn't do it, but since it's you Hestia then I will. Besides Apollo tells me these people will teach this boy respect for woman. I couldn't pass down the chance of helping make sure the one decent male in history stays safe" Artemis said after standing up
"I have one more thing for the child, since I am to be his patron I will leave an amulet for him to pray into, in case he needs any help" Apollo said as he took a necklace with a black arrowhead with Vesta's symbol on it out of his pocket and put it around the child's neck
"What should his name be?" Hades asked
"Well since Nike is holding off the other Olympians while we do this. How about Nicholas? In Greek, it means 'Victory to the People'" Hestia said smiling at the child
"That sounds like a great choice for a name" Apollo said as thunder rumbled "We need to go, ring the doorbell. The people here should be up, they will take him in and raise him properly"
At that Hestia conjured up a name tag that had Nicholas written on it with black, gold, and silver writing. The gods and goddesses soon flashed away leaving the child, who was still wrapped in a blanket next to the silver staff. The door to the house opened to reveal a man and woman who looked down at the child in concern.
"Honey, look" The woman said while kneeling down and picking up the baby while the man knelt and picked the staff up "Nicholas, that's a lovely name, don't you think?"
"Yes, yes, it is. Quickly though, we need to get him inside so we can him to a sound bed that isn't our doorstep" The man said "I will put this quarter staff in the attic, whoever left him here obviously cared about him enough for him to be protected when he grows up, the mother was probably not allowed to keep him."
