Chapter 7 - Sudden Betrayal

Everyone turned as they looked at the sword that had been pierced through Yorio by my hand. "Lady Balendin why!?" Ariyday cried out grabbing me. Slowly my head lulled to the side making him gasp out as I looked at him with black eyes. Slowly a loud laughter erupted from Yorio as dark claw like hands began to devour his body, consuming him.

"Run!" Masrur yelled grabbing me before hopping to the nearest wall. Everyone quickly took cover as the black appendages suddenly burst revealing a dark Yorio. The rest of the people in the stadiums ran away screaming in horror at the abomination in the middle of the ring."Hnnnn." He hummed out with a devilish grin plastered across his face. All of his features had darkened and his eyes looked as though they were cracked with black. His armor and hair thick with a black layer of dark magio."I have never felt so powerful....It....It's amazing!" He grinned breathing out before lending out a hand to me. I reached out in Masrur's arms to him with a light groan. "Come now Masrur, let her come to me."

"What did you do to her?" He growled gripping the fabric of my clothes. "Ah you see this little needle I have? I so nicely tucked away, every time I bumped into her I would leave little cuts." He explained pulling it out before tossing it to the side. "I laced it with my dark magio, and each time I bummed into her or touched her I used it to put trace amounts of it within her." He cackled as the magio flew around him in a black mist.

Masrur grit his teeth before handing me over to Airavata. "You don't plan on actually fighting that thing do you!?" He yelled as Masrur took a step forward breaking the ground beneath him. "Yes.""Then let me fight beside you, but be careful of my flames." Ariyday warned walking up to his side. "Surely you will not let me sit idly by while I let the two of you youngsters protect my daughter." My father grinned swinging his over sized sword. Yorio grinned finding it amusing they thought they could take him on. "Even with all of your power combined, you think you could even so much as scratch me?" He laughed.

Masrur lunged up taking his chance swinging at him only for him to practically vanish kneeing him in the gut. "Ah the taste of pay back is delicious!" Yorio licked his lips, throwing him off his leg into the wall of the coliseum. Ariyday roared out throwing a claw full of diew as the King swung at him from the other side. "Oh a rock in a hard place." He chuckled before jumping up, Ariyday's fiery claws scratching through the King's stomach and the sword cutting across Ariyday's chest. They both cried out falling opposing ways."This is almost too easy." Yorio hummed to himself glancing at them as they withered in pain.

Grabbing Ariyday by the collar he lifted the large lion man up with ease. "Oh how you have been a thorn in my side from the start. A pest that has taunted me many a day, now I want to hear the kitty beg for forgiveness.""Burn-In-HELL!" Ariyday spat engulfing his whole body in flames, scratching Yorio in the face. Letting go of him, Yorio spat some blood before putting the flame out with a deathly glare. Ariyday simmered down the flames on his body, holding the wound across his chest that he had managed to cauterize. "You have scratched your last time you cat!" Yorio yelled slashing down his blade on him.

"NO!" Airavata yelled out throwing up his hand. "Ah the fish out of water, I almost forgot about you." Yorio grinned with blood smeared across his face. Airavata's expression held utter hatred as he looked at Yorio's feet where his little brother laid still. "You bastard you will pay!" He growled gripping onto me tightly. "Oh will I?" In an instant Yorio held Airavata's face in his palm and me in the other. "Say hello to your brother for me will you?" He laughed smashing him into a wall. Letting him go, Airavata's eyes turned completely white before being dropped to the ground with an eerie thud. I looked up at Yorio with darkened eyes still in his possession, unfazed by what was going on around me. "Now time for my bride to get properly married."
