History/facts about this book

On 7 October 2016, I unpublished a previous Jack Barakat fanfiction book but it didn't work out. I felt guilty about it so I decided to make a new one.

At first, I planned to make a really long one like the previous one but then I realised that I didn't have a plan, to begin with. So, I neglected it until I found new inspirations on 10 October. Very specific dates, I know, I took notice of it.

This book is inspired by All Time Low's song, A Daydream Away. I loved that song so much that I kept listening to it and found inspirations. I have had that song on my phone for a long time. I remember it being my favourite and when I start listening to it again, I felt like I could make a story out of it. So, using the song lyrics as guidelines, I begin making up scenarios.

I originally didn't want to write any author's note in the chapters because I thought I would be updating regularly since I had finished writing this book on 13 October. I know, right. I finished this book within three days.

I had to use three different devices to write this story. My phone, my brother's phone and my laptop.

Back to the story, this book takes place in 2016, during the Blink 182 tour when All Time Low opened for them. I used the dates and places but they are all mixed up though.

The hashtag (#) is Jack's point of view while the heart (♡) is Victoria's point of view if you still have not caught on with the chapter name.

Sometimes, whenever you daydream, you will always end up forgetting about it. It became a lost thought that is bothering yet you don't know what it is about. The italics that was in Jack's point of view explain his daydreams.

Besides, that's the title of the story, Daydream Away. One of the lyrics itself in the song sings, "You're just a daydream away. I wouldn't know what to say if I had you. And I'll keep you a daydream away. Just watch from a safe place. So I never have to lose (you)."

Facts about my own characters (OC)

Issaac Vance Mason is actually bisexual. Victoria and he are not just high school best friends but also, they've known each other since kindergarten. His height is 180, the tallest in the band. He is a fast learner.

Arabella Victoria Reese used to date Josh Dun from twenty-one pilots but she rejected him. She was a dance instructor before committing full time to the band. She has a white tattoo of the name 'Disney' on her inner wrist. She loves pranking others.

Kenneth Samuel Stuart is allergic to cinnamon. Narelle and he are second cousins. He first started playing keyboard but he was so keen to play the guitar even after he broke his wrist. He loves skateboarding.

Narelle Irene Veil was actually supposed to play the guitar but her mum bought her a bass instead. She has trust issues with everyone around her except her bandmates. She was the first to suggest to form a band and she portrayed the bad girl in the band.
