"Victoria. I'm so so sorry," I covered my face and cried.

"Jack," I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Please don't blame yourself."

"I-I pushed her and she fell on the streets and she got hit- It is my fault!" I cried even harder.

Alex and I were in the waiting room in the hospital. Victoria was immediately taken to the emergency room. Rian and Zack went back to the club to search for Narelle, Kenneth and Issaac.

Alex called Jimmy using Victoria's phone and he did not sound happy, in fact, he sounded wounded when Alex told him the news. A doctor came out. We stood up.

"Family of Miss Reese?" He asked and checked his clipboard.

"Uh. No. We're her friends," Alex said.

"Is she OK, doctor?" I wiped my eyes.

"She suffered two broken ribs, a broken leg and part of her skull are badly damaged. We have to do a surgery to have it taken out," He said.

"Doctor, just do whatever it takes for her to wake up again," I pleaded.

"Yes, sir. We'll get on with the surgery as soon as possible," He nodded and left.

My whole body went numb and I sank down on my seat. Alex patted my back.

"Can we stay here? Just until Victoria wakes up?" I asked Alex.

"I don't know, man. We're supposed to be in Seattle tomorrow." Alex scratched the back of his head.

The door burst opened and stumbled into the room was Narelle, Rian, Zack, Kenneth and Issaac. They smelled like alcohol.

"Where's Victoria?" The three of them were sober as they got up.

"In the emergency room," Alex informed them the news.

"I let this happen. She wanted to drink and we all agreed to it. I didn't take care of her," Kenneth sank to the seat next to me.

"It's not your fault, Ken. I pushed her onto the street and she got hit-" my voice cracked.

"Where is Jimmy?" Narelle asked.

"He is coming down to see us right now," Alex told them.

As if on cue, Jimmy burst into the room. He softens at the sight of Issaac, Kenneth and Narelle, immediately engulfed them in a tight group hug.

"It's going to be OK," Jimmy said to them, soothingly like a father to his children when there is a thunderstorm outside of their bedrooms.
