Sun entered the den, blinding Kodi." Raise and shine sleeping beauty!" Kodi woke with a start to see Ruko, standing over him." Either get up or I will tear you eyes of!" Kodi shot straight up." You will have breakfast then begin training!" Ruko glared at Kodi then he padded away." Wow what's his problem?" Kodi wondered out of the den, to see the guardians crowded around the kill pile." Morning guys."

Kodi accidentally stood on a wolf's tail and fell into the pile. Akira laughed at kodi's clumsiness." Sorry guys, paws are dead." The wolves didn't respond to him, so he got up and ate in awkward silence." Okay, we will begin training." Saul boomed." Ruko you are to train Kodi." Ruko opened his mouth to say something, but Saul shot him a glare like he was saying don't even think about having a tantrum. Ruko closed his mouth and nodded at Saul." Come on pup! We've got training to do." Kodi followed behind Ruko into a clearing.

"Okay pup, we will begin with simple paw swipes." Ruko showed Kodi how to perform a powerful paw swipes." Now you try pup!" Kodi gulped and swiped the air." How was that?" Ruko glared at Kodi, then he went into a fit of laughter." What was that! That is something what pup's do. And you call yourself a guardian!" Kodi glared at Ruko, and swiped him. Ruko stopped laughing. Kodi widened his eyes in shock, he was ready for anything that was coming for him." Ruko am.." Ruko held his paw up." Now that my friend is what you call a paw swipe. But you need to work on where you are aiming, remember aim for the least obvious spots. Which is either the front legs or the back." Kodi nodded. For the rest of the day he learnt more fighting techniques, until the sun was nearly setting." Okay pup, we've done a lot today, get a drink, get some good and go to bed, I want you to meet me here at sunrise no later."

Kodi didn't bother to argue with Ruko, so he, did what he said." Hello Kodi." Kodi turned round to see Akira." Your little performance at breakfast was very funny." Kodi chuckled." Yes I guess it was." Akira laughed." So how was it like training with Ruko, I could tell that as soon as Saul said you was going to train with Ruko you was gonna hate it." Kodi shrugged." Y'know Ruko isn't as bad as what he acts like, I think that I have seen his soft side." Akira nodded." He wasn't always like this, he had mate and pups, but one day he lost then to humans. As soon as he joined guardians, he focused life on being hero." Kodi was in shock." You wouldn't think of that happening to Ruko, he seems like the toughest wolf I have ever seen." Akira shrugged." All tough wolves have a back story. Well anyway I best be going." "Yeh same here. See ya around Akira."

Kodi watched in awe, as Akira trotted away. He snapped out of it and made his way back to his den. Ruko emerged from the bushes. He heard everything what Kodi and Akira was saying, he rested on a hill and looked at the night sky, tears began to swell up in his eyes making his vision cloudy. He shook his head and lay down.
