Joe Trohman:

I shoved the wooden door of the little bookstore/cafe that had made me the brunt of many inside jokes about my lack of obvious knowledge.

"I can hear the bell," Spencer sang quietly, as he wiped the counter with a towel.

I sat on one of the tall chairs in front of the counter. "You sure you're not gay Spence? You're singing Hairspray again."

"Well excuse me for enjoying musical theatre." Spencer huffed. "And are you really one to talk, Mr. Sensible Shoes?"

I shrugged, a grin on my face. "Guilty as charged."

"I'm surprised you managed to find your way back here," Spencer admitted, tossing the towel into the sink behind the counter.

"Well, I did get lost like five times." I drummed my fingers on the table. "But I had some motivation."

Spencer raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Was it the longing of your heart to educate yourself about books?"

"Oh God, no." I shook my head, disgusted. "More like the longing to educate myself about Patrick." I grabbed a straw and began pulling off the wrapper.

"Patrick?" Spencer asked. "What about him?"

I continued pulling at the paper. "Everything you can tell me."

"This wouldn't have anything to do with your blatant crush oh Patrick Stump, would it?" He smirked at me.

Yes.

"No!" I said incredulously and tossed the straw aside. "I'm starting a revolution with this dude. I want to know his beliefs."

Spencer sighed and threw the straw in the trash. "Well, that's not what Brendon, Ryan and Pete say."

"You, Brendon, Ryan and Pete gossip like old women." I rolled my eyes. "Old, gay, women."

"Well, the word from Ryan is that Patrick may be a little interested in you too," Spencer said, grinning.

I sat up so quickly, I almost fell off the stool. "I'm sorry, what?"

Spencer nodded, his eyes playful. "Didn't you notice how well-dressed he was today?"

I nodded thoughtfully, biting my bottom lip. "He did look good."

"Yup," Spencer winked. "Patrick has the hots for you too."

I leaned forward, still twisting the paper around my finger. "Well in that case, I feel like I should be more fervent in my attempt to learn more about him."

"Yeah?" He raised an eyebrow.

I held a hand up. "For educational purposes, of course."

"Of course," Spencer agreed. "Because wanting to know his dick size is educational."

"Hey! I never said I wanted to know his dick size!"

Spencer gave me a knowing look. "Joe, I know you. And I know you wanted to know."

"Well yes I did. But my mouth is an excellent ruler." I argued. "Besides everyone knows that Alexander Hamilton and John Laurens knew that about each other."

Spencer chuckled. "I find it hilarious that you keep referencing an illegal gay couple as your defense for everything. Patrick hates Hamilton and you pretty much worship the dude."

I grabbed a pen and began writing on my hand. Hates Hamilton. "Any other information you want to tell me about Patrick?"

"Nothing you can't ask him yourself." Spencer pointed to one of the large glass windows. "There he is."
