A shorter chapter, but I'm working on the next one right now! Enjoy! :)

After a few minutes of me holding on to Tanner for dear life and him spinning me around in circles, he set me down on the hood of the GTR and stepped back. I took in all the features of his face. I took in his blue eyes and blonde hair that looked the exact same for our entire lives. God, I missed him more than words can describe, and it was only a couple months of him being away or working. Silence. We stood in silence just looking at each other. It felt different, I felt different.
"Jane, are you ready for the most bitchin' summer together?" Tanner yelled as he grabbed my hand and dragged me into his house.
We ran into room together, he motioned me toward his bed, and shut the door. No, we weren't banging. While he was rummaging through his bag, I laid back against his pillow and tucked my feet under his blankets that I missed so much. He sat down at the foot of the bed and held something behind his back. Before I could even ask what it was, he whipped out a ring. This ring was beyond amazing. It was a plain silver band with a beautiful blue stone on it. I loved blue everything.
"I saw it when I was in Tiajuana, and thought of you." Tanner said while handing me the ring.
"I love this so much. Tanner I missed you so much." I said while pulling him in for a giant hug.
I climbed into his lap and once again clutched onto him as hard as I could. I heard him let out a laugh and just embrace me again.
We had been catching up for hours before I fell asleep around 2 am on his living room couch. The tv was still playing an old movie in the background when I felt someone jostle me. I was semi awake when I realized that Tanner was lifting me up. He adjusted my arms so they were around his neck and he placed an arm under the crook of my knee and another supporting my back as he carried me bridal style out his front door and across the lawn. He carried me through the family room of my house and he gave a quick nod to my mother, who was always up around this time watching her shows, before gently nudging my half open door fully open. He placed me down on top of my blankets and took off his sweatshirt and placed it over my bare legs. I couldn't sleep after that. I laid silently in my bed thinking of Tanner before finally falling asleep before the sun rose.
I woke up to a text from Tanner saying, "When you get up text me back. We're going on a adventure. Bring a swimsuit sweet thang ;)". I had no idea what we were doing that day but I was excited to say the least.
