Kim went into the bathroom and rinsed her face. Looking into the mirror at her big, now red from the tears and sorrowful eyes. She then said to her reflection "it will get better, it will get better, it will be fine soon, just wait". Kim then turned and exited the bathroom.
Lunch time was now over so Kim went to class. Her friend Sam came rushing towards her filled with excitement."Kim!Kim! Guess what!! Sam said. "What is it?"replied Kim. "Look here!"Sam answered. It was a poster advertising a competition. It said CALLING ALL STARS TO THE MUSICALLY TAKEN ACADEMY'S AUDITION FOR THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PLAY, THERE WILL BE THREE AUDITIONS 1)NOV.5.16

SING,DANCE,PLAY AN INSTRUMENT BRING ALL YOU'VE GOT. YOU MAY HAVE A CHANCE TO SING WITH A SPECIAL STAR. THERE WILL BE MANY PRESTIGIOUS COLLEGE PERSONNEL THERE LOOKING FOR TALENT AT THEIR SCHOOL AND GUESS WHAT THEY WILL BE GIVING FREE SCHOLARSHIPS TO FIVE LUCKY STUDENTS. SO COME ON DOWN. SEE YOU THERE!!"
"Sam why are you showing this to me?" Kim asked. "Cause I want you to participate in it obviously"Sam replied. "You know I can't Sam, I'll never make it" Kim stated. "Of course you can Kim you just have to try"Sam said. "You remember what happened when I auditioned for the spring play last year, I really don't want that to happen again, I'll be devastated", Kim said. "But don't you want to help your mom out, you know she might not be able to afford to send you to college next year so this would be very helpful to you and her",Sam said. "I don't deserve to go to college!! I'm such a failure every time I try it never works out, my voice is never good enough and I can't even play an instrument, what will I do in the play?" Kim replied. Sam now looked furious and shouted to Kim "Don't you ever say that you have an amazing voice that many people would love to have, you have been such a great student in this academy and I'm just saying that cause your my best friend but because it's true!!!! And guess what you're going to audition for that play whether you like it or not because you have talent and you aren't going to waste it!". The bell then rang signalling five minutes for them to get to class. "I have class Sam, I'll talk to you about this later" Kim said then walked off to class.
