Detention

"So can you do it?" I asked her.

"It's not a matter of whether I can do it, its a matter of whether I want to." Hermione said as she stared at me before cracking a smile, "and of course I'm going to help you!"

"Oh my gosh! Do you know how happy I am to hear that?" I asked her as I realized that I had been shaking her.

She backed away from me when I released her and smoothed down her skirt.

"Nope, not at all." She said sarcastically.

"Well, either way, thank you for helping me, I'll meet up with you tomorrow or something and we can figure this whole 'wolf' mess out."

"Sounds good." She said as she grabbed her books and left the library.

Right as she walked out of  the room, a dungbomb went off right beside the librarian's desk, and I knew that I might get blamed, so I bolted out of there only to run right into Fred and George and all three of us fell to the ground which only made the two laugh harder.

"Really guys?!?" I yelled.

"Don't yell at us, just get up and run! We won't get in trouble if we don't get caught!" George said, shooting me a wink and grabbing my arm and pulling me with him and Fred into a broom closet where the three of us held our breath until we heard the librarian pass.

"Oh thank Merlin!" Fred said as the three of us walked out of the closet and tried to hold our laughter.

"What are you thanking Merlin for boy?!?" Fred let out a yelp as he was grabbed by the collar of his shirt by Filch. "You two, come with me, we're going to the headmaster's."

"Run, save yourselves, it's too late for me," Fred said dramatically and put a hand to his forehead and let out a long sigh.

"Shut it," Filch said, yanking on Fred's collar causing another yelp to escape the boy's lips. "You two, come with me now!" He said, pointing to George and I.

"I didn't even do anything!" I yelled.

"Then why were you hiding? An innocent person has nothing to hide from."

"Just give us detention and be done. There's no sense in taking this to the headmaster." George said, pleading for detention to be the only punishment.

"Fine," he said as he released Fred who let out a sigh of relief. "Next time, you won't be so lucky. I'll see you pests tonight. Meet me by the trophy case." He spat at us then walked away.

The three of us walked slowly to the hallway that held the trophy case, not looking forward to the punishment we were going to have to endure from Filch.

"Don't we also have detention the rest of this week from McGonagall?" I asked.

Fred put a hand to his forehead in disbelief. "Yeah, I believe so." He laughed.

"You three, here, now." Filch said when he saw us and pointing at the floor in front of him.

We walked slowly over to Filch who was getting more and more impatient by the minute. He told us that our punishment was simply to clean the candle holders in this hallway, polish the trophies in the trophy case, and mop the floors. That was a very small punishment for Filch.

We got to work, splitting up the punishment. I was to mop the floors, Fred was to polish the trophies in the case, and George was going to clean the candle holders. If we all got started and weren't distracted, we could be done within two hours, but, alas, there was no hope for that.

"Hey Ceyla, look at the trophy I got for being best seeker since one hundred years ago."

I paused my mopping and turned my head towards Fred who was holding out a tall golden trophy and smiling greatly.

"Fred, you're an idiot."

"You're friends with an idiot." He shot back.

"I never said I wasn't." I smiled at him and he glared back at me.

"Just face it that you're both idiots!" George shouted from the other end of the corridor.

"You are too!" Fred and I shouted at him.

"I know!" He said as he broke out in a goofy smile.

"Thank merlin we're done!" I shouted as I sat down beside George on the ground.

"I thought it would never be over!" Fred shouted as he sat down on the other side of me.

"Anyone know what time it is?" I asked them.

"Umm... I think its about two in the morning at this point." George told me.

"Why do you assume that?" I asked him knowing he didn't have a watch on him.

"Because it feels like we've been here for hours."

"Okay Gee-Gee." I smiled.

George watched as the poor girl's eyes started to get very heavy. Finally the girl closed her eyes and she leaned over and layed her head on George's shoulder and fell asleep. George couldn't help but look down at the girl and smile. He leaned his head over onto hers and he closed his eyes.

"Goodnight Say-Say."
