"Writing is a solitary existence. Making a movie is a controlled chaos - thousands of moving parts and people. Every decision is a compromise. If you're writing and you don't like how your character looks or talks, you just fix it. But in a movie, there's something you don't like, that's tough."
-Dan Brown
Life is that movie. You don't get to choose whither or not you have a perfect family. Or a rich and famous parent. You don't get to choose who you will marry or who you will grow up to become. Or who And you certainly don't get to choose your own happy ending. But I like to think that we do get to make some choices in life. Like the people we bring into it. And what you act like and decide to show people who you are as a person.
I showed and continue to show people the real me. Some people will wear masks their entire life because they care so deeply about what others think, while others remove the mask to show everyone who they truly are. I used to think that was a good quality about me. That I didn't give a flying duck about what people thought about me. But maybe, that's what brought me down.
That's what brought the story down.
And in this story, I Emerson Amor, made my own choice.
I gave my mom my love story. If you could even call it a love story. More like a romantic comedy mixed with an emotional roller coaster filled with insane people. But all those people were different. Some give off class, some give off sass, and well, some threw glass. And if hit me in the face, some may not be directly at me, but all in all, I felt the shards.
But all in all, I could never really tell you the whole story. I can only give you it from my perspective, from how I tell my mom the story.
The writer does the rest.
