Chapter 7- Sunday November 13th, 2016
"As soon as I saw you, I knew an adventure was going to happen."
-Winnie the PoohI thought I was going to have to work really hard for all of this.
But the truth was, I wasn't even the one who changed our whole 'relationship' or 'friendship.
Everett King was oddly the one who suggested we do something insanely crazy. At least I thought it was extremely crazy, him on the other, just loved watching me.
He loved watching me fall in love.
"Jump Princess! Please don't make me push you in!"
My eyes glazed nervously over the amused boy. "You wouldn't."
Everett shrugged, with the annoying twinkle in his own eyes. "I would."
"But it's the middle of October! The water will be freezing!" I protested, then looked at him with a glare. "Why can't you just go first?"
"We live in Georgia Princess it's not even that cold out." He rolled his blue eyes at me. "Oh and you were the one who wanted to get to know me. So you have to go first."
I signed both internally and externally.
I looked around in our surroundings. Here we were in the middle of a gorgeously coloured forest, filled with trees with beautifully leaves. The vibrant red, orange, and yellow, mixing in with the already dead trees and still green leaves.
I once came up with the conclusion that forests during the fall perfectly reflected us as humans.
Some people are more bright and colourful than others, with their overall better personalities, yet all of those vibrant personalities are different, some last longer. But then the others just die out. And among all those beautiful people, there is those few other people who are already just dead, they die out quickly. It could just be on the outside, but it could also just be them deep down inside.
And then there is the one tree in the entire forest that just has yet to change into that perfect brilliant red or orange. That has yet to really show the world who they are, because maybe they just don't know how to do that. Or maybe they don't know how. I'm that tree. But I'm ready to show the world my colour.
So I took that running jump and flew through the air holding on tight to the old rope tided to the biggest red leaved maple tree. Then I plunged into the bitterly cold water to the sound of Everett's voice cheering me on.
"Oh my gosh!" I gasped as soon as I raise from the bottom of the weirdly clean water.
"I really didn't think someone like you would do that." Everett chuckled from the side of the pond and I could even then see that he was impressed.
"Well I did and I was right before, it's literally freezing." I then smirked evilly. "It's your turn now."
"Oh right. Or maybe I could be evil and just leave you here." Everett the evil beast beat my smirked to pulp, turning it into a frown.
"You wouldn't dare..." I warned, my big brown eyes squinting at him, and not just because the sun was peaking through the trees and glaring on my face.
