Serena's POV
"How's Lee doing with all of this?" I asked once we got back into the apartment.
"She's.. safe. At least." He replied.
"I'm sorry Uncle." I said sadly.
I felt terrible for not being much help at the station. But I loved Barbara, and I wasn't going to betray her.
"It's okay Serena. Lee says the memory loss might be from the panic that you felt." Jim replied.
"Yeah... Uh huh." I mumbled.
If only he knew the truth.
"Jim?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He answered.
"What's going to happen to Barbara?" I asked.
He was silent for a moment.
"She's going to Arkham." He replied.
I sighed but I nodded.
"I'm going to head to bed. Night." I said.
"Night." He replied.
I headed into my bedroom. Uncle gave me the bedroom and he slept on the couch. I argued about it, but he insisted.
I sat down on the bed and brought my knees to my chest, and began to just sit like that and stare at the wall.
Why was I caught in all of this?
I can't lie to Uncle.
But I can't betray Barbara.
Why is life confusing.
I groaned and tried to lay down. I couldn't sleep, so I kept tossing around. Finally I gave up and went over to my phone.
I stared at the contact. Then I decided to text it.
To: Bruce
