It has been twomonths and Jake has turned the way opposite. I mean, seriously? Where did all his black clothes go? Does popularity really change you a lot? Apparently it does, a lot. It was just like if yesterday we were all talking about music, but now he’s always with football team. This is really getting on my nerves!
As I entered homeroom, I felt that something wasn’t right. Jake and Roy were missing, and so was Samantha. Melinda sent me curious looks as I sat down behind her. Today she had been wearing her white skinny jeans with a purple slim T-shirt that said ‘If you can’t stand me, well we might have a problem!’, that matched her dark purple flats.
“Hello? Selena to earth, do you read?” said Melinda with a questioning look.
“Hey, any news?” I asked her as she sent me a slight scowl. She nodded as a smirk came up her face. I can always trust Melinda to have the latest gossip.
“Three, actually.” She pointed to the three empty seats where Jake, Roy, and Samantha sat.
“Do you know where they are?” I asked while raising an eyebrow.
“No, but I know they ditched class,” she said and shook her head, “I’m going to kill Jake when he comes back.”
“Yeah, so am I.” I turned around and faced the front. I couldn’t imagine where they would be, especially Roy with Samantha. This made me angry. I stood up and ran out of the room. I heard Melinda call my name but I ignored it. I was going to find Jake.
I was outside in the parking lot looking for Jake’s car. I wasn’t surprised when it wasn’t where we parked this morning, so I crossed the street and kept walking. After about 10 minutes later I found the car. It was parked in front of OUR favorite ice-cream parlor.
My hair was messed up because of the wind outside so I wasn’t sure if I wanted Roy to see me like this. “No, you’re not here for Roy, you’re here for Jake,” I thought to myself. When I walked inside, I saw him. That bastard had his arms around her waist while Lily’s arms were around his neck. Jake was practically eating her face!
“Jake!” He turned around breaking their kiss. I made a very deep scowl.
“Selena? What are you doing here?” he asked, pushing Lily away.
“Maybe I should ask you the same question!” I felt other older people staring at us but I didn’t care.
“Look, I’m sorry, I-”
“I don’t wanna hear. Just shut up and drive me back to school,” I interrupted. I gave him a demanding look and he did as he was told. “Sorry guys, see ya later!” he said waving at the group.
