Mikuo x Reader!

The next morning, you were walking to school with quite an elevated mood. Thinking back about last night's event made you grin and blush at the same time. 'I can't wait to see Luki!' you chirped enthusiastically. Just as you thought of that, you saw a certain pink-headed male was walking a few meters away ahead of you, listening to some music with his favourite headphone. You rushed towards him and locked your arms with his, making him turn around to look at you in surprise. He slid his headphone down to his neck as he glanced at your coiled arms. 'W-we must have looked like a couple!' he realised and began to blush.

"Y-y/n! W-w-what are you d-d-doing?" he stuttered cutely.

You grinned and tip-toed to give him a sweet peck on his cheek, making his blush deepened. "You're my  boyfriend, that's what~" you smiled as you watched him covering his cheek that you just kissed earlier.

His face was red as a tomato now. You chuckled. "Aw, my polar bear is shy!"

"G-geez, y/n!" he covered his face, hiding his embarrassment. You could imagine seeing smoke coming out from his head right now and you chuckled as both of you headed for school together.

During recess time, Luki came over to your class and invited you to eat lunch together. You gladly accepted his offer and he led you up to the roof, straight to the perfect spot where you could see the sea and horizon. You gawked staring at it, literally mesmerised by the minute you set your eyes upon the scene before you. Luki smiled and pulled you down to the bench nearby and began to eat slowly while appreciating the lovely view.

"Do you always eat here?" you asked.

"Yeah," he nodded. "But on rainy days, I just eat in class though."

"Now that I think of it," you glanced at him. "You're always alone. Don't you have any friends?"

He smiled a melancholic smile and shook his head. "No, I don't. But I guess it's better this way," he replied. "I'll just scare them away even if I do."

"Scare them? What do you mean?"

"I have a very short temper," he explained. "And I tend to shout and even punch people who messes with me."

"D-did that ever happened before?"

"Yeah..." he said. "They're my only friends...yet-" he was on the verge of breaking down but he stopped himself and placed his food down to his lap.

You wrapped your arms around his shoulder tightly and kissed his cheek. He blushed and smiled sadly.

"Luki, it's not your fault!" you said, convincing him on whatever he was feeling sad about.

He detached you from himself gently and took hold of your hands in his. You stared up into his blue eyes, but he refused to return the gaze.

"Y/n, you should stop this. I can't be your boyfriend," he whispered. "I might even hurt you one day. My rage is uncontrollable. It comes and goes just like that. But if you're not with me, then I can feel more relieved because I wouldn't be hurting you for that."

"Luki..." you mouthed softly before making up your mind. "No. I'm not leaving you because of your heartless rage. I'll be with you through it as well."

He glanced up at you finally and you leaned forward, catching his lips into a deep kiss which he returned it softly.

"But what if Mikuo comes back to you?" he asked gently.

"I'm not going to forgive him," you frowned. "He cheated on me, going for another girl. I-I thought he l-loved me...I really thought he did..but I guess I was just fooling myself all along," you felt the aching again.

How you hated that feeling. It made you feel weak. A cry-baby. Emotionally unstable. How you wished you could just stop loving someone.  If it hurts so much, then what's the point in giving into love if it ended up recoiling back to yourself?!

Without realising it, you were crying again. Luki hugged you for comfort and rubbed your back gently until your tears eased away.

"I'm never going to love him again," you decided firmly. "He's dead to me."
