Chapter Sixteen//Armin

"Guys I have bad news," I hear Jean say as I walk in.
"We just got news that the principal doesn't want us picking the songs since we are adults. He gave us a song and we have to get it down by Tuesday. There isn't any school on Tuesday, so we can have Armin practice with us, and we got out of classes for the day," Marco says.
"Wait, what?" I ask as I walk in to see everyone here.
"New song," Is all Jean says. I slump over and drop my stuff on the couch without looking.
"Ow," I hear someone groan. I looks down as my bags re pushed onto the floor.
"Wait, why aren't you up?!" I say and grab my bags.
"I don't know," He says and sits up. I set my bags on the chair and grab my change of close. I slip off my tee shirt and put on a tank top.
"You're not even dressed," I say and slip on my tennis shoes.
"I only had a chance for last night here," He says. I sigh and hand him some close of his clothes I brought just in case. He sighs and quickly changed behind the couches in case the girls tried to look. He then walks out after me and is combing his figures through his hair. Jean turns on the new music and I recognize it to be Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars.
"We were able to think up some earlier, but not much. We have an even amount of girls because Hanji will be running part of prom and Mikasa is helping her, so we have two girls. Historia and Ymir. We want to start off with them and Eren. Then throughout we want me, then Bertold, then Reiner, then Marco to join in. We thought about adding Armin in by the second half of the song and making him a main dancer. Since Carla is out sick, we've been having trouble with choreography for this. We got Ymir and Historia here early to test it and I think it will work. Ok, everyone clear off besides Eren, Historia, and Ymir. Historia, stand here, Ymir here. Eren, in the middle," Jean says. Everyone does what they are told and they clear. Jean slowly teaches Eren the moves and he has it down in about forty-five minutes.

They run trough the first part and then Jean starts to add people in here and there, teaching them what to do. Then the second half of the song comes on and Jean gets me to come in. I follow what he tells me and we takes each step slow with the entire group to make sure we have it.
"I think we can do this. Jean says. I nod and everyone is huffing from being out of breath.
"I know it's going to be tough, but I've noticed how it only takes us a day or two to actually learn how to dance to a song. A lot of clubs, it takes them around a month or more. We have some very talented people in this group," He adds. We all nod and he rewinds the song.
"One more run," Eren says.

After running through it we all decide to go out for ice cream.
  "So we have everything down for the tournament next weekend, right? We can run through it tomorrow if you guys want," Bertold says. Everyone mumbles a yes or nods. I walk next to Eren as we make our way to the park. We make it and we all sit in an open area.
  "So, Armin, how's school been?" Mikasa asks.
  "It's been good," I say and shrug.
  "You weren't planning to go to prom, were you?" She asks.
  "No," I say and look down.
  "Expected. We already ordered you an outfit," She says. I sigh and nod.
  "Oh, I forgot to ask. Who are you staying with? Eren or Carla?" I ask.
  "I've been at a friends house lately, so I haven't decided. I'll probably stay with Eren. He's going to be getting an apartment soon," She says.
  "Oh. Makes sense," I say and finish my cup of ice cream. I watch as everyone talks and Eren gets up to throw his cup away.
  "Prom is really going to interesting. I can't wait to see it," Mikasa says, "Me and Eren are heading out. Goodnight." She gives me a small smile and Eren waves as they walk off. I sigh and stand up. I throw my cup away and tell Jean I'm going. I then walk home alone and when I get home I go straight to bed.

(A\N: Short chapter, but there's a reason. I've written some longer than usual chapters, and I plan to make the next one long too.
