Jeanette's POV
FAST FORWARD: 2 weeks later
So I found out that I am going to have to go to this place thing where there are people watching over me to make sure I'm safe since he can't pick me up due to his job (Navy) and he doesn't want me to walk home since my home is 'too far' and the bus doesn't drive to my neighborhood. (My dad just sugarcoated a daycare type thing. Yeesh I'm only 15 what is the worst thing I can do? Well maybe me getting raped by some physco drunk 50 year old man wouldn't be nice... Whatever!)
When I walk into the place thing, I s ee Joshua there! What how is this even... How do I breathe again? He looks over at me and his eyes go wide. I don't know if it's of excitement or if he is scared... I'll go with the first one. OH HE SMILED, THAT IS GOOD, RIGHT? Well why wouldn't it be. MAYBE HIS FRIEND TOLD HIM A JOKE ABOUT HOW UGLY I AM AND HE IS TRYING NOT TO LAUGH.
Dang Jeanette, just calm down stop being so insecure and SHUT YOUR DAMN SELF UP! I scan the room and notice my new best friend, Kirsty, there!!! YAY I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS PLACE I THOUGHT THAT I WOULD BE DYING OF BOREDOM! Okay, so I am being a little over dramatic, but I am only 15 years old, don't judge.
But, as I scan the room once more, I notice my annoying little brother, Trey here! HE IS 11 YEARS OLD WHY IN THE NAME OF PETE IS HE HERE? I looked at a flyer on the wall it said:
D.A.S.H. (Dynamic After School Hours) 1465 Vista Lane (fake address I just typed random numbers don't try looking for this place I MADE IT UP)
SIGN UP FREE TODAY! HOURS: 2:15-6:00 AGES 10-17
I didn't bother reading the rest because I realized, I WILL PROBABLY BE STUCK HERE FOR NEXT YEAR TOO. AND THE YEAR AFTER THAT. I hope my friends will be here for that long... I will kill myself (not really) if they move away. ESPECIALLY JOSHUA. Just kidding chicks before dicks. OR MAYBE NOT!
So after school every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and sometimes Thursdays and Fridays, I am stuck here. Joshua only comes here on Mondays and Fridays. Ugh why can't he come the whole week?
