Chapter 2
When I woke up the next morning and I smelled the comforting sent of apple cinnamon oatmeal. I got out of bed and slowly walked out of the room. I looked around the house looking for the kitchen. I found him at a table with two chairs and two bowls of oatmeal. In the morning light he looked even more beautiful. He looked up at me softly and I saw a lash on his neck. He noticed that I had seen it so he turned away from me. He sighed "Go eat your breakfast" He mumbled and I sat down across from him. I took a bite of the warm, creamy oatmeal and swallowed. It was delicious and I quickly ate more. I finished my bowl and looked at he empty bowl sadly. He shoved his bowl towards me and walked away from the table. I stood up, leaned over the table and grabbed his sleeve. "Why am I here?" I asked him softly and he turned around. "I had to take you out of that forest..." He said with a sigh and slightly looked up at me. "Why?" I asked rudely. "You don't need to know..." He said looking over at me again. "Well fine..." I said with a grumpy face. "What's your name anyway?" He asked rudely and looked at me. "Well that's not the proper way to talk to a lady but My name is Maive..." He frowned. "You should feel lucky that I saved you so don't tell me how to talk to a lady" He said fiercely and looked away. "Calm down, Pissy Pants" I murmured and let go of his sleeve. He turned around sharply and grabbed me by the shirt. "You don't call me names...All you can call me is Ronin" He said with an angry glare. "Fine, Ronin" I said and pushed his fist away. I tried to get away from him but he was strong. He slowly let me go and walked away. I was pissed off at him. I rolled my eyes and took the blanket off the bed I slept in. I tiptoed towards the door and ran out of the cabin. The crisp morning air was cold but refreshing. I frolicked through the leaves on the forest floor. I chuckled slightly because I was pretty proud of myself for escaping that tall, strong and handsome bafoon. I ran towards my giant house and reached my wood porch. I looked back out the forest and thought for a moment. "Wow it's much easier to run through the forest when your not blinded by anger" I said with a chuckle and knocked on the sliding glass door. My frantic mother rushed to my side and tackled me with a bear hug. "Where were you?" She asked while squeezing me tightly. "It's fine Mom...Don't worry about me so much" I said pushing her gently off of me. I walked into the sunroom where my angry looking family was waiting. My Dad who's normally happy blue eyes looked angry and bitter. He sat on the end off the longest floral couch in the room. He didn't say anything. Where as my younger brother Riley wouldn't shut up. "Where were you?" He asked quickly. "Did you get scared, Maive?" He asked teasingly. "Did the boogie man get you?" He said and stuck his tongue out. I flicked him on the forehead and he punched me in the shoulder. That's when my parinoid Mother noticed the wool blanket I had wrapped around me. "Where did you get that?" She screeched. "No where..." I sounded kind of suspious on accident. "Oh don't you lie to us girl" My father said harshly and glared at me.
