Chapter 25
Point of view: Finn
I walked for miles before I reached my house. Eventually I got to the house and I walked in. My father was sitting in the living room waiting for me. I closed the door and walked in front of him. I bowed in submission and sighed. "I'm sorry father... For I have brought you much shame" I said sadly and bowed my head. "But this guardian is not normal..." I said quietly and looked up slightly. My father looked at me strangely and squinted. "How is he different?" He asked angrily. "He smells of dark hunter and guardian..." I said softly and looked at my father. His jaw dropped and he just gawked at nothing. "What is it father?" I asked sounding concerned. His lip quivered and all of a sudden he got angry. He stood up and walked past me quickly. I turned to look where he was going. He went into the small library in our house. He came back with a small leather book. I looked at it. The book was weathered and worn. He handed it to me. "Open it to the first page" He said coldly. I did as he instructed. It had two photos on the page. It was my father getting married to a women that's not my mother. I looked over at him. "This is just a picture of the rehearsal...The real wedding never happened" He said quietly. "Why?" I asked curiously. He sighed and put his face in his hands. "I found out that she was a guardian...Then the night before we were married I killed her and her father..." He said in a muffled voice. My jaw dropped and I gasped. I looked down at the second photo. It was a baby that looked like my father. "We had a son 4 months before the first picture was taken..." He said softly and sighed. I turned the page and there was a picture of the baby with an old woman. My father took his face out of his hands. "My fiancée's mother ran away with my son after I killed her daughter" He said quietly. "Now that baby is 20...I can only assume that....That guardian is my son I had 5 years before you" He said sounding ashamed. I just sat there with my mouth open wide. My father had another child other than my sister...And he's a guardian. I have a half brother. Am I still supposed to kill him? I'd feel bad if I did. Killing my own flesh and blood. "Father...Do I still have to kill him?" I asked quietly. My father turned to me quickly and gave me an angry glare. "Of course boy!" He yelled and grabbed my face. I was scared. "Why?" I asked shakily. "He's not your real brother!...He isn't supposed to exist!...If I would have known that she was a guardian sooner...I never would have had sex with her!" He yelled at the top of his lungs. He pushed me backwards by my face. I hit the floor and winced. I quickly stood up and ran to the door. "I'll get him, Father!" I yelled and ran out the door.
