Mika's POV

I finally retuned home after Trina drove me from the hospital. I looked outside my living room window trying to remember why Wilson punched me, it didn't make sense. After an hour went by I walked towards the kitchen to get a water and Gatorade and forgot that I had my phone in my hockey bag. I walked over to the couch and grabbed my phone and headed up the stairs.

First message:

Trina<3: Hey! I am on my way to the hospital and I will be there shortly, hang in there!!

Next message:

Unknown Number (Mike Green): Hey Mika, I hope you don't mind but I got your number from coach and I was just checking in. Text me later to give me an update!

I chuckled at that last part. He is one of the most down to earth guy I have ever met.

Next message:
Coach Oates: Hi Mika, don't worry about coming to the game tomorrow night, we've got it covered. Unless you want to come and just watch then feel free. I will set aside a pass for you at the players entrance if you want to stop by.

I read my last message thinking if I should go. But what if Wilson is there? Wouldn't it be really awkward but I would just give him the cold shoulder since he was the one that punched me.

I headed to my room and hooked up my charger to my phone and changed into a big caps shirt and some shorts and settled into bed. Some days like this I wish I had someone that could hug me so I could sleep. I dozed off thinking about tomorrow's possible outcome.

Sid's POV

I came back to practice near the end but caught a glimpse of Wilson before joining my team. He has some nerve to punch her and then go back to the ice like nothing ever happened. If I could, I would skate right up to him, through down my gloves, and start punching him and see how he likes it. I mean he didn't even go to the hospital with her. Tomorrow night I will get him somehow.

I skated onto the ice and saw Flower (Marc-André) skating towards me.
"Sid, you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'll be fine, my head is just a little too crowded for any plays to learn."
He nodded and started going back to his cage (goal).

I look up while I skated to the visitors bench since no one was there and looked coach straight in the eye and saw the disappointment towards me. I wanted to explain but realized that it wasn't as important at this time.

"You okay? You have black eye."
I looked up to see Geno standing there.
"Yeah, I am just worried about her. Thank you for coming in and helping."
"No problem friend." He said.

Geno is one if those guys that will always have your back no matter what. He supports everyone individually and the overall team and I couldn't ask for any other teammate. He skated to the huddle around Coach Bylsma and gave me a reassuring nod. He mouthed "she okay, don't worry". I just nodded and looked down at the ground wondering about everything.

Wilson's POV

I went back to the ice after coach came in and got me. I can't get the image of Mika out if my head, just lying on the ground not moving for a bit until she woke up.

Time went by as usually but I needed some closure on knowing if she was okay. Coach came back to the ice after seeing me skate around by myself. I wasn't paying attention until he reached me near the goal.

I was practicing my stick skills in the net when I see him just a few feet away.
"Wilson, what happened earlier? You just took off. That's very unlike you."
"I know coach, I can't really explain it."
"Alright, just be ready for tomorrow's game, we need you to be ready, you got that?"
"Yes sir, I'll be there."

I skated off the ice and headed towards the locker rooms. I guess everyone heard what happened in the trainer's room since when I walked in, everyone on the team looked up at me, some eyes showed anger, concern, and the worst was pity.

I sat in my stall slowly taking off my sweaty gear and placed everything in its place before leaving. I looked into the dark trainers room and left to go home.

Mika's POV

I woke up to the sun blinding me through my curtains. I rolled over to one side and covered my face with a pillow. I looked at my alarm clock and it read 3:09 p.m. Huh must have slept in a lot.

I walked to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. I leaned forward while I touched my stitches. I flinched when they hurt under my gentle touch. I can't believe this happened.

Then last night I had the weirdest dream of two people shouting back and forth while hitting each other, I heard someone say, "You don't even know her!" Or something like that.

I disregarded the voice yelling that over and over and decided to get dressed. I wanted to go to my first I'm the job game even though I'm only watching. I grabbed my work capitals jacket and threw on some yoga pants with a caps baseball-cap and headed downstairs. I looked at my phone to check if there was any new messages but saw that there was none. I forgot that I didn't respond to any if them. Oh well.

I walked to my car looking up to the sky and seeing flurry's coming down slowly with the brisk wind. Winter was always my favourite season. I hopped in the car and started the heat. I drive on 395 and across the bridge to enter into D.C. All capitals games were held at the Verizon Center in Chinatown. I think it's in the best location since it's accessible to many. I drove in my red jeep grand Cherokee and entered the players a garage. I watched the fans look at me to try to see if I was a player. I tilted my hat down so they wouldn't see my face and drive on in.

I parked where all the guys parked on the second level and headed towards the elevator when someone tapped me on the shoulder.
