To my surprise it was Sid. His expression looked confused probably since I was pulling my hat over my face.

"Hey Mika, you okay?" With concern in his voice.

I looked up at him still not trying to let him see my face.

"Yeah I'm fine." I stated quickly.

"Are you sure?"

He lifted my chin with his gentle touch and moved the hat out of my face and eyes. I expected his reaction to turn to disgust but he showed pure concern.

"Does it hurt?" He said.

I looked up into his hazel eyes and fell into them.

"Just a little, but most of the pain is gone."

I didn't expect what was coming after that.

"I'm really sorry." He said stroking my cheek with the back of his hands. His warmth made me blush and he smiled.

"It's alright, I can't remember what happened before it but all that I know is that Wilson punched me then everything went to a blur."

His smile went from soft and friendly to a straight line.

"I still can't believe he punched you." I could see the anger flaring in his eyes just talking about the incident.

"But I'm fine now." I said looking up at him.

"Yeah but he still gets under my skin."

"Don't you have a game to get to?" I said. I forgot we were still in the parking lot.

"Yeah, let's go."

We walked next to each other going down the hallway.

"We'll good luck tonight." I said as I was leaving for the caps tunnel and locker room.

"Thanks, see you later." He said.

He turned away and headed into the visitors locker room. I watched him go through the doors but just before he was out of sight he looked back at me and smiled. I felt my cheeks deepen with red and I smiled back. He chuckled at me blushing which made me blush more.

I turned away from the visitors room and made my way down the hallway to the capitals locker room. I have never officially been in the player part if the verizon Center but the signs helped me find my way to coach Oates office.

I knocked on the door lightly and gently pushed it open to see him and Ovechkin talking. They both looked up at me and Ovechkin excused himself to allow me to talk to coach.

I walked into his office while he gathered the pictures on his desk.

"Hi Mika, glad your here."

"Thanks coach, I'm glad I am."

"So it's up to you if you want to work tonight, we have a back up athletic trainer if you guys want to switch shifts back and forth, it's fine by me."

"Thanks that sounds great." I had questions about Wilson but it didn't come up and I honestly didn't want to ask.

"Alright, well it's almost warm-ups so I'm going to head out but you can come to the box and watch."

"That sounds great, I'll meet you after everyone is on the ice."

He smiled and left to go meet the team. I made my way out the door and into the hallway. I stood there with my back against the wall closing my eyes.

I listened around me. All I could hear was my heartbeat and the crowds. They began to get louder and louder. This told me that the players were out on the ice. I opened up my eyes and made my way to the players entrance. I walked through in my capitals warm up jacket and hat covering my face. I went I to the box and met up with coach.
