Mika's POV
I set my alarm before I realized that I had to be at Kettler in the coach's office at 8 sharp.
To: Wilson
Hey, I'm sorry do you think you can get a ride to Kettler, I just remebered that I have to be at coach's office in the morning. But I can give you a ride after practice to verizon to get your car.
-Mika
I locked my phone and turned off the light. I ended up looking at the ceiling for about an hour and a half thinking of that days events. Everything happened so fast. Plus the thing with Latta was a little too much but I should have expected that since there are hormose driven hockey players everywhere and him being one of them.
I sighed and closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep. The last thought I remembered thinking was of Wilson.
I walked through the doors of an ice rink, it wasn't at Kettler or the Verizon center. I look down to my feet and see hockey skates tied up. I start my way towards the empty ice but I hear someone carving the ice. I look up and to see Latta staring at me, watching my every move. I skated towards him wondering what he is doing here.
"Where have you been Mika?" Latta said.
"What? What are you talking about?" I asked.
He takes me and pulls me close to his body allowing no space to be waisted between us. One hand is placed on my lower back and the other stroking my harid. He bowed his head to whisper in my ear.
"You look so beautiful tonight." I blushed at the comment. I look over to the gate to the ice where I see Wilson standing, staring at our embrace. I tried to go towards him but Latta restricted my every movement. Wilson looked down in dissapointment and I swear I could make out the words he whispered saying "How could you Mika."
I try my hardest to move towards Tom but Latta hasn't let me go and wouldn't. Wison turned around and started to go into the lockerooms. A light blinds me as Wilson walks into the light. All I can see is his shadow dissapearing slowly.
Latta turns my head as he pulls me onto my tiptoes and presses his lips against mine passionately. I couldn't decide if I liked the kiss or not. I was caught up in the moment, and I questioned myself.
I wake up catching my breathe and for the rest of the night I lie there thinking of possibilities that could have been.
Wilson's POV
I received the text from Mika, and I feel a bit dissapointed. Now I have to ask Latta to give me a ride but I don't feel like talking to him right now, even though he did go for my girl. I wish he would back off sometimes and leave his playerish personality behind. I didn't respond to Mika's text since she seemed to have fallen for Latta's charms. Hopefully she will see that I am better for her than Latta.
I started to fall asleep and set my alarm to 8 o'clock so I will be ready in the morning. I woke up to light 'em up ringtone blasting in my ear. I got up and stood without my crutches. I think I will be able to skate today, hopefully if I will be cleared. Plus I want to play in tomorrows game against the Red Wings.
Mika's POV
I wake up silencing my clock and got dressed for the day to come. I put on some yoga pants, reebok sneakers and a quarter zipped reebok black jacket with neon lining. I got my sports bag and made my way to my car. I checked my phone again and saw that Wilson read my text but didn't respond. Whatever, I'm trying not to let it get to me.
