This book is dedicated to Christina Grimmie who passed away on June 10 2016. The main character 'Alex' is named after one of my best friends who first hand witnessed everything happen.

Rest in paradise, Christina. This is for you.

Alex's POV

I am in line for Christina Grimmie's meet and greet in Orlando, Florida right after her concert. The concert was truly amazing. The line is pretty long, so to pass time, I put on my headphones and plugged them into my iPod. Then I put on my favourite single called 'Cliche'. I listened to other songs too. "What will she think of me", "what will i say?" I asked myself while waiting.  The line moved past really quick, and in no time at all, I was next in line. I saw a little girl who was walking up to Christina. Christina gave her a hug, they talked for a bit, then she went.

Next, it was my turn. I walked up to Christina. I'm not gonna lie, I was really nervous. I mean I was six years old when I started watching her, now I'm 13. It has been my dream to meet her and now I am face to face with her. It's a dream come true. Her eyes looked as pure as honey. Her smile was the best thing I ever seen. She gave me a big hug. The best anyone gave me.

'Christina, can you sign my CD?', I asked her.

'Yes of course dear', she replied.

Then I realized the CD is in the backpack I left in the lobby.

'Can I come back, my CD is in my backpack in the lobby', I said

Christina then said 'sure thing'.

I quickly walked out of the door of the meet and greet room and went to the lobby. At first, I could not find my bag because there was many people there. I looked around and saw a green neon bag. I walked up to it. I dumped all the contents of my backpack out. I saw the blue square 'Side A'  album CD. I picked it up, put the rest of the things in my bag, threw it on my back, and walked to the entrance of the meet and greet. I saw people running out. Not just one, everyone. People were getting trampled and tripped on. I don't know what is happening.

'SOMEONE HAS A GUN!!', I heard.

The first person I thought about was Christina. I ran the fastest I could run. I ran to where Christina was meeting fans. I saw a man with a gun,  pointing it at Christina. Without a doubt in my mind, I jumped in front of her.

I heard a pop. I felt a metallic, hard object hitting me. Suddenly, everything went dark.

Author's Note

Hey everyone!! What do you think of the first chapter? I know it is a little rough, but the ones coming up will be better because I wrote the first few chapters when I was an amateur in fan fiction. Anyways, byeeeee
