Christina's POV

'I think we should tell her now', my mother advised. My dad and I nodded our heads, in agreement.

'I'll go call her', I said.

I walked out of my room, down the stairs, looking for Alex.I saw someone else come up, and of course, it was her.

'Hey, can you come up to my room?' I asked.

She slowly nodded and came with me up the stairs.

We both then came to the door to my room. It was already open from when I left to call her, so I motioned her to go inside. I followed her and closed the door behind me.

She sat on my piano bench, and I sat beside her, vertical from my parents.

I took a deep breath, and whispered 'Promise me you won't freak out?'

'I won't', she responded in a questioning tone.

'My family and I really do not like the condition you are living in, Alex. I mean, you were homeless on the streets, with no parents. We both have grown so much closer over these few days, and I've been thinking about this for a while now.' I stopped to take a breath and continued again.

'Would you like to live with me?' I mean, I understand if you don't, but I really- '

I interrupted her and excitingly exclaimed 'of course Christina. I would love to!'

Mom and dad walked out of the room, to leave me and Alex there.

Alex's POV

' -Would you like to live with me?' Christina asked- finishing off her sentence.

It's like time stopped the moment I heard that.

'Of course Christina. I would love to, I replied.

Tears welled up in my eyes. It was not like those sad tears that consumed my entire life these past few days. They were happy tears. Once that first tear broke free, the rest followed in a continuing steady stream of salty water running down my face. A smile broke out on my face and she pulled me into a hug.

Her arms wrapped around my small, frail body. I laid my head on her shoulder and mumbled, 'thank you'.

I guess she heard that, because she hugged me tighter and replied in a quiet comforting tone- 'Anything for you, Alex'.

-------------------------------

*Time Skip to 30 minutes later*

Christina was on her bed, playing super smash bros on her Nintendo 64 console while I was on her songwriting table, writing a letter.

'what you writing?' Christina asked.

' I turned around to see her standing right behind me with a huge friendly grin on her face, perfectly reflecting her hazel eyes'.

' you will see in a moment', I assured, finishing off the last sentence I was writing.

When it was done, I stood up and handed her the letter.

She grabbed a stool and sat down on it.

You can see a broad smile erupting on her face, as she progressed through the letter.

I sat on the floor, twiddling with my fingers, waiting for a response.

A few minutes later, Christina sat up and bent down pulling me in for a passionate hug.

'I never knew you been through this much. I'm glad you are still here.' , she whispered.

Don't know what im talking about? Here is what the letter said.

'I cannot thank you enough, Christina. You were the only one who brought light into my dark world. I have never told this to anyone. And I mean ANYONE....But the day my parents died, I slipped into a very deep depression. I almost attempted suicide because I thought everything was hopeless. But then, just before I wad going to do something, I came across your cover of 'in Christ Alone', and I immediately fell in love with your voice. I looked deeper into your channel, and I found your song- 'I bet you don't curse god'. Those two songs gave me hope, and ever since, I followed you on your beautiful journey of turning into the artist you are today. You are the only reason why I never gave up, and truthfully, I am glad I took that bullet for you. I don't know what me - and team Grimmie would do without you in this world. There is a reason to this mushy letter, and that is to tell you how thankful I am. You gave me a second chance at life, and I'm forever grateful.'

I stood up and walked to Christina's piano, and sat down on the bench. She sat down beside me, and I faced her.

'You wanna work on that song?' I reminded

'Of course'.

'Thank you, Christina Grimmie'

'Anytime.....Alex Grimmie'

Author's Note

AAAAND the book is over;((

honestly, I have such an amazing time writing this for you all. It started out as a way to cope with Christina's death because it hit a lot of people really hard, and I wanted to try to help them. Some of the events in this were actually based on real life situations that happened to me, and/or my friends. I might be making a sequel if you all want.

Thanks for sticking with me :)
