Petra's PoV
I suddenly awoke to terrified screeching coming from over the wall. Then I heard commands being shouted from every angle, all in sync for some reason.
"Squad 2 focus on evacuation, work with the MP's, the rest of you, the Titans have advanced into Wall Rose, we need to stop them from getting any further! Move out!" The soldiers looked like a swarm of angry bees, about to go and attack the one who took their nest. I was suddenly hoisted to my feet and thrown out into the cold morning air, just dodging my ODM gear that had been sent out afterwards.
"Nice morning, isn't it Petra?" Clara mocked, easily managing to keep pace with me as I frantically moved my hands about to put on my gear.
"Shut up, Clara. You've never even seen a Titan, I bet you'll die within three seconds.." I smirked back, making her lead the way, obviously thinking I was pathetic but I wasn't here to impress anyone, I was just glad she was off my back. For now...
As soon as I was on top of the wall, I could see the carnage that lay in my path, and I froze, as if my feet were glued to the spot.
"Come on, Petra! What are you waiting for!" Gunter called, jumping over the wall and bringing me with him by surprise, I tried to hook onto a building nearby, but the grapple suddenly came out and I fell to the floor with a loud BANG and my ODM gear was suddenly everywhere. Looking around me I already saw the blood-stained bodies, leant up against buildings, missing a leg or indeed half of their body.
Then. The thundering footsteps sounded ominously behind me, I looked over my shoulder and let out a scream as I saw its face...
Levi's PoV.
I heard a blood curdling and looked around to see where it had come from. Petra.. Levi's mind instantly clicked and his eyes lit up with pure determination.
"Petra!" I cried with my voice shaking as I saw her, lying helpless on the floor as a titan slowly approached her, his stomach growling loudly. I had to do something. Or she'll die. Like a knight in shining armour, I bravely sped to rescue his damsel in distress, ignoring every part of me that told me not to risk it. I wasn't going to be selfish, not if she was in danger. With one quick and effortless strike, they were down, away from Petra, but she was already gone, a puzzled look appeared on my face Who did this? Is she even safe?!
"Petra?!" I called, frantically looking around me, all I saw were dead bodies, dropping like flies around me, is this really how I wanted to live the rest of my life? Watching me comrades rain down around me? Whilst I did nothing?
"Levi!" She called her eyes full with desperation, I immediately snapped out if my daze and jumped down, it was a race, between me and a titan to get to her.
Petra's PoV
I'm gonna die... I thought, gripping my leg tightly, trying to stop the blood flow out of my wound, staring up at the sky, I watched the clouds go passed as I heard the ominous footsteps of death. Suddenly I felt as if I were lifted above the clouds, was I in heaven? No...? I felt a strong arm grip me tight, who was it? And why would they save me. Everything was blurry as we moved from building to building with high Speed, and eventually getting over the wall, back to the safety of HQ.

Hours had passed before I finally woke up, the sky was a deep.purple as the sun set over crumbling wall that had been attacked earlier that day. I sat up and saw someone asleep on a chair, it was Levi! A sudden rush of excitement flew over me and I saw his sleeping face, he's so peaceful.. And cute, like when we were kids.. WHAT?! Petra, you're engaged, stop! But soon he woke up, his cold eyes stared into mine as they lit up with the same excitement I felt.
"Petra! You're okay! Thank god.." He gasped, relieved.
"I'm fine Levi.." I said, with a hoarse voice and a dry throat. Followed immediately by a cough, I took a deep breath as I started to stand up, but I couldn't, there was a sharp pain in my leg, feeling like I had been shot by a bullet.
"You can't walk yet, you had a pretty bad cut, and well, you can't walk for a few days.. Rehabilitation. That's what you need." He explained, carefully rewrapping the bandages that had come loose as I slept.
"I need to see Erwin.. Where is he?" I asked, full of desperation.. Even though I was injured, I still needed to file reports on fatalities and MIA's.. Levi stood silently and went to get him, leaving me alone. "Who.. Who carried me over the wall?" I spoke softly to myself, staring down at my twiddling thumbs, soon, everything fell silent.
Minutes later in came Erwin, with a relieved look on his face.
"Petra! You're okay!" He cried with excitement, repeating Levis words from earlier.
"Yes, I'm fine.." I replied, a bright smile jumping onto my face. I sat up as tall as I could as he approached me, and he leaned down and held me tight as if he were about to lose me..
"Petra, I.. Well.. I'm sorry.." He apologized, facing the floor in shame.
"Its fine! I'm alive.."
"That's not the point.. I made a promise to your father that I would.protect you, I shouldn't have thrown you into the face of danger like that.."
"I'm a soldier, Uncle.. And I don't care about any promises you made.. You can't keep me safe forever.." I smiled. "But.. Who saved me..?"
"Oh? Levi did... Of course.. "
"Really.. Why doesn't that surprise me.." I muttered, looking away from y uncle, although it wasn't him I was angry at, and he knew it...
"Well, you should.get some rest, we're going to file some deaths tomorrow.. And, can I just remind you how happy I am that its not you who's dead.. " he said smiling and he walked out and softly closed the door behind him.
