Katherine's POV

I woke up to Charlotte's head on my chest. I snuggled in closer. I loved waking up with Charlotte on Saturdays and Sundays. Suddenly Charlotte moved her hand from my stomach and it came to rest between my legs. I knew that it was unintentional and that she was sleeping, but that small moment and touch sent fire and yearning through my body. I was more turned on than I've ever been. I had to get up now.

I slid out from under her and out of bed. I went into my closet and quickly changed into my running clothes and sneakers. I had a lot of pent-up energy I needed to burn off and if I couldn't get burn it off one way then I'd run it off and let the adrenaline burn off the tension.

I ran until I felt like I was going to pass out and then turned around and headed back to my house. I sprinted up the stairs. I'm not sure how long I've been gone, but when I walked in Charlotte was already up lounging across the couch. Her face turned from worry to an expression that resembled lust. Her jaw fell as she looked from my stomach, down my legs, and back up resting on my chest and then finally making it to my face.

"See something you like?" I asked before I could stop myself. I had to have a cold shower. "Get dressed. We have plans. There is something I want to show you. This will probably be the last weekend we have before it gets too cold to swim and get into the water."

I knew exactly where I wanted to take her. I found this place last summer. Out here the water is emerald and with the sandbar it's like having your own little private island.

The afternoon was amazing and she seemed to be having a wonderful time. That is until we were sitting on the sandbar and she was staring out in the ocean. I could tell she was deep in thought because she was chewing on her bottom lip like she does when she is thinking.

Suddenly she stood up. At first I thought she'd been stung by a jellyfish or that she saw a predator fish or something. "I need..." she said looking pale.

"You need to what? Are you ok?" I asked standing up and taking her hand. What in the world had gotten into her? She was frightening me.

"Yeah... I just started feeling a bit sick... Too much sun," she mumbled and looked anywhere, but in my eyes. Which told me that she was hiding something from me. Tears spilled out of her eyes and I brushed it away with my thumb gently.

"I'm sorry," I said as she pulled her into a hug. She looked so fragile and I wanted nothing, but to make her happy.

"I just need something to drink," she said pulling out of my arms and heading back to the boat. I followed behind and got into the boat. I reached out for her hand and pulled her into the boat. Her hand in mine felt so comforting that I didn't want to let it go. So I didn't. Instead I headed below deck to find her something to drink.

"What do you want? The boats pretty well stocked... Coke? Sprite? Water?" I asked looking in the refrigerator. I heard the liquor cabinet open and then close behind me. I turned to see her taking the biggest swig of rum straight out of the bottle. "Or rum... We have glasses." I said with a chuckle pulling out two glass tumblers. "What type of not feeling well warrants drinking?" I asked making us both a drink.

"I just... Have a lot on my mind," she stuttered and turned a bright red all while looking anywhere, but at me.

"Ok... You don't have to tell me what's going on, but you know you can tell me anything and I won't think less of you for it," I said slouching into an oversized chair. "I mean it's not like you killed someone... Wait did you kill someone?" I faked shock.
