Just a lil of the Evans for you
'Hello Lorraine.' The trembling voice greeted.
Lorraine Evans blinked a few times, trying to snap out of the dreamlike state that clung to her.
'Oh, hello Marie. Not to sound rude or anything, but why on earth are you calling at such an early hour?' She masked most of the surprise in her voice.
' It's finally happened to me. It's finally happened.' Maria seemed to be on the verge of crying.
'Oh god, you know what? I'll be over as soon as I can.'
Lorraine dragged a comb through her hair and went to wake Tristan up.
She shook him awake none too gently and shoved a suitcase as soon as he opened his eyes.
'Code 15, Tris, honey.' She informed him, before scurrying out to pack the equipment.
In no less than ten minutes, she was ready and also wide awake.
'Tris, hurry!' She shouted impatiently, tapping her fingees on the wooden desk.
Tristan came barging down the stairs, phone in his hand and suitcase on the other.
'Called the others. They'll be here in five.' He said, pouring a glass of milk while he zipped the suitcase shut.
Lorraine huffed and rubbed her temple.
She just hoped Maria was fine.
True to their word, the three teenagers arrived in exactly five minutes, all looking mildly excited.
'Ready?' She asked briskly.
She smiled in appreciation as they all nodded.
'Let's hit the road.'
An hour later
The sun was now peeking from behind a clump of trees, it was almost morning.
She stepped out of the van and blinked as a wave of country air hit her
James, whistled in appreciation from behind her.
'Place is really nice.' Connor remarked, ruffling his own hair.
She walked up to the porch and knocked on the door. Three sharp thuds echoed around the house.
It was a few minutes before someone actually opened the door.
A little girl looked up at her.
'You must be Mrs Evans.' She said pleasantly.
'Mum says come in.' She added, opening the door wider and allowing the five strangers access into the manor.
Lorraine greeted the little girl pleasantly before she asked where Maria was.
'She's upstairs.Nicky will show you.' She said, nodding towards another blonde girl around the age of twenty.
Nicky, the girl, nodded solemnly at the five and started for the winding staircase.
'Well, c'mon.' Lorraine said impatiently, gesturing for the boys to follow her.
'Mom and Annabelle are in here.' Nicky finally said, stopping at the door nearest to the end of the stairs.
Lorraine pushed the door open, and smiled as she caught sight of Maria, who was sipping coffee slowly.
'Where's Annabelle?' She asked.
'Downstairs.' Marie said softly.
She then set the cup down.
'Tristan, start writing.' She said briskly.
'Marie, can you tell me about the occurences.' She then said to Maria.
Marie seemed to hesitate, naturally, she knew Maria was a very closed person and hardly expressed emotions.
'Very well.' She drew in a shaky breath and turned her head towards the window.
