Nixie p.o.v.
I was lying in the grotto at Rita's, trying to reflect what just happend at the beach. I couldn't believe it. "Did I... almost kiss Cam? No, no, no, no, NO! I didn't! He's a landboy AND he's Zac's best friend. But he's so nice and cute around me and.. No Nixie. You can't do this." I thought. So I wanted to go to Cam and clear things up. I didn't wanted him to think I like him, although I did, ...a little bit. I really wanted to go back to the pod, and being with a landboy, and the best friend of the merman, wouldn't be helpful.
On my way out of the grotto, I met Lyla and Sirena. Both gave me a hopeful glance. I just ignored them. Rita, who was around, noticed, and I heard her asking the girls what's wrong with me. I didn't care.
My first place to look for Cam was at the beach. Sadly he wasn't there. I looked around and spotted Zac. Ooh, I hate this boy so much. But he might knew where Cam is. So I took a deep breath, and walked over to him. As soon as he noticed me, his face lighted up. I rolled my eyes. "Zac where's Cam?", I asked harshly. He looked irritated. "Um Hi Nixie uh-" "I asked you something.", I said. "Guess at the cafe? But why are you ask-" I didn't even wait till he finished his sentence. I got the information I wanted, so I could leave now.
I arrived at the cafe and saw Cam sitting there drinking a raspberry juice. His favourite. Nixie why do you know that? I walked over to him and as he spotted me his face lighted up. "Hey Nixie.", he said happily. I smiled. But then I froze, because I remembered what I was here for. "Cam we need to talk.", I said serious. He looked surprised. "W-why? Did something happen?" "Um no Cam. It's because of yesterday." He blushed when he remembered what had happend. "See Cam, you may or may not are a nice guy, but this can't work.", I said. And it broke my heart when I saw how Cam's smile dropped. But I needed to tell him. For my own good. "W-what? Why?", he asked with a sad voice. "I don't know if you noticed, but I'm a mermaid. And you're not. This can't work." "It can!", Cam protested. "I don't know if you've noticewd but you have legs. And you only get a tail when you're wet. So it can work, Nixie!" "Cam. I think you've missed something. I want back to the pod, back in the ocean. I don't want legs. I don't wanna stay here.", and with that I left the cafe.
Cam p.o.v.
After Nixie left I just wanted to punch someone in the face. But that wouldn't be that good, so I went to gym to train a bit. I need to forget Nixie. There's no chance for us, she said. She doesn't want to be on land, she said. That means she doesn't want me, right? Oh god, why am I so stupid? Why did I thought I'd have a chance?
I worked out and thought about Nixie, all the time. When I finished and was about to shower I thought about possibilities to be with Nixie. She doesn't wanna be on land. She wants back to the ocean. What if I come with her? Zac could become a merman, so why not me? So I made my little plan. Go to the moonpool at fullmoon, become a merman,and be with Nixie. I see no other chance. But first I should figure out if Nixie is the one. The one that I always want to be with. Beause if not and I realize it when I'm already a merman - that would be bad.
I had to talk to Nixie about it. So I looked for her everywhere, and finally found her on the beach. It's pretty big so it's kinda difficult to find one person, but I have a Nixie-radar I guess. I found her, and told her about my plan. "Cam are you crazy?!", she said, when I finished. "Nixie it's not a bad idea!" "IT'S IS CAM!", she sounded shocked about how I could even think about changing to a merman. "Okay Nixie. I'm gonna re-think my plan, but I'm sure that we could try out if we'd make a good couple. See I reeally like you, Nixie.", I smiled at her the best smile I could smile, knowing that she'll melt. "Okay Cam.", she said. "We'll give it a try." "YAAY!", I said and hugged her. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and she laughed. Hope it all works out.
