"Don't look at me like that." Kyoya said, smirking brilliantly. I had lost to him at our bet earlier. He was trying to embarrass me in front of the whole class! What was I suppose to do?! Now as we're holding hands as we walked out of school together, and I wasn't too happy about losing."Shut up. Just tell me what you want me to do already." I demanded.
"Oh right!" Kyoya's smirk grew wider as he remembered his prize for winning the bet.
"Your going to stay over my place tonight."
"W-what?!" I stuttered blushing intensely.
"Is that a problem?" Kyoya questioned, giving me a devious grin.
"N-no.." I knew it was hopeless trying to argue my way out of a situation that I put myself in.
"Good!" Kyoya said, dragging me along and across the street to the bus stop. Kyoya's penthouse (no that was not a typo,it really is a penthouse) was located a few miles from Aibo Academy, so we decided to hop on the public bus and head to his house.
"It's been a while since you last visited my house." Kyoya commented, his head resting in the palm of his hand.
"Yeah. Why'd you invite me over today of all days?" I questioned. In response, Kyoya pressed his forehead against mine so that we could glance at each other up close.
"Because this will be the first time you come to my house as my girlfriend." My eyes widened at this sudden answer.
"I-Its not that big of a deal..."
Kyoya chuckled lightly, "To someone who's been in love with their childhood friend for years, it kinda is."
Then, Kyoya began to lean in to kiss me, but I put a hand in front of his face.
"What if someone sees. You said we shouldn't be too romantic in-." Kyoya pointed a thumb towards the front of the bus. The two of us were sitting in the very back seats and there were barely any other people on the bus. Anyone that was still currently riding the transportation vehicle was asleep.
"I think we'll be fine. Besides, you didn't mind too much when we were making out in the hallway. "
"I told you, it wasn't making out!" I yelled. The bus driver had stopped at a red light and turned around out of curiosity to comprehend what we were discussing.
"H-hi.." I stuttered, putting my head down in shame and embarrassment. I could hear my so-called boyfriend stifling a laugh from surfacing.
Finally, in about 30 minutes since we left the school, Kyoya and I reached the 'Gaen penthouse',which seemed to be completely made of glass from the exterior. Kyoya pulled his keys out of his pants' pocket and unlocked the door. I noticed something wrong right away when entering the Gaen household.
"Why does this place look exactly the same since the last time I came here?" I said, concern quite apparent in my voice.
The last time I visited Kyoya's penthouse was about 3 months ago. His parents requested they have dinner as a family and invited me to come along. They probably assumed having me tag-along would make the atmosphere less tense and uncomfortable. One Chinese container in which we ate from that day was still laying on its side on the kitchen table. I knew it belonged to Kyoya, since his mother and father retired to bed early that day, putting all leftovers in the refrigerator and I took my leftovers back to the hideout.
"Hmm...strange, Scarlett should have cleaned this by now. " Scarlett was the Gaen family's one and only maid.
Turning to my right, I found two orange sticky notes attached to the refrigerator. The first one read:
