"EEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!" A piercing shriek admitted from inside the crowded coffee shop. This was not a shriek of terror, mind you, it was a cry of pure joy."I knew this day would come!" Kyoya's mother cried hugging me tightly in her arms. Her loud high pitched voice was attracting the attention of other customers around us, making me feel slightly embarrassed.
"Kyoya would always talk about you when you were itty bitty. It was always (Y/n) this, and (Y/n) that." She giggled after finishing the sentence.
"Uhm, Mrs.Gaen, you might want to lower your voice." I reminded her for the 3rd time since we got here.
"Sorry," the gleeful woman took a deep breath to compose herself, "Its just...I just knew he had feelings for you, but he'd never admit it!"
"But, I thought..."
"You thought Kyoya never talks to me?" I nodded my head.
"While that is true now, Kyoya didn't always shun me and his father." The older woman picked up her mint frappuccino from the chocolate brown wooden table and sipped it for a few seconds. "Whenever Kyoya would make a list of people to send invites to for his birthday party, he would just write down '(Y/n)' and told me to invite whoever I wanted." Kyoya's mom laughed at the memory. I bet it felt nice to remember the times when she and her stubborn son were close.
So, if you're confused, it's the day after Kyoya's parents had dinner with us. As you know, I completely blurted out the fact that me and Kyoya are boyfriend and girlfriend to his mom and dad without any warning. Today, around 9:00 A.M. as I was eating my pancakes and while the two men of the house were asleep, Kyoya's mother, Atsumi Gaen, had pulled me from my chair and rushed me into a limo waiting outside. She first said we were going to pick up groceries, but I think it was just stated so I wouldn't run away or something.
"So.." Mrs. Gaen took another sip of her drink and asked,"how long have you liked him?"
"W-W-WHAT?!" I yelled on accident again, this time drawing the attention of everyone, even the staff. I sat back down in my chair in shame.
"Come on." Kyoya's mom elbowed me in the shoulder,"I won't tell Kyoya, I promise." Even if she did, Kyoya already knows.
"Uhm..." I trailed off, trying to buy time or search for some sort of diversion, but the eyes Mrs. Gaen stared at me with we're full of anticipation,"since we were 6."
"WHAT?!" Everyone glanced at us for 7th time. I spotted out of the corner of my eye three girls talking to a staff member of the caffe and pointing towards us. They just had to complain.
"Excuse me, many customers in the caffe have asked that you lower your voices." A male staff member informed us, holding his hands behind his back and delivering us a fake smile.
"Sorry." The mother apologized, turning towards me after the young man was out of reach,"I tell you, people can be such wet blankets."
"Anyway, you shouldn't be thinking about dating at 6 years old!"
"Well, I just knew I had a crush on him back then. It started getting worse as we got older."
"I see..what about your first date? Did I miss it?!"I shook my head 'no', "Not yet, we just got together a few days ago."
"Yes!" Mrs.Gaen fist punched the air, "that means I can pick out your outfit!"
