Chapter 4.

Ok guys so I'm going to "fast forward this story a couple months but nothing serious happened! Keep reading!!!!

*Halfway through second semester*

I heard a knock on the door. Who on earth would be coming to my dorm at 8 in the morning on a Saturday?! Whoever it was deserved the shit knocked out of them for waking me up.

"Maya get your lazy ass up
And answer the door!" Malia groaned as she threw a pillow at me.

Malia and I have became best friends since the beginning of the year. Thank God we smashed into eachother the first day in the boardwalk because I have no idea how I could live without her. She is literally the best! We go on road trips together once a month in her old volts wagon mini van. It is an old hippie van, but it is comfy to ride in. She always picks out my clothes for me and decides what I should do with my hair. I always decide her shoes and makeup, and we don't own a mirror. I trust her and she trust me. I don't need a mirror to show me I look bad because she will just tell me. But enough with that, I had to answer the door.

I got up and climbed down my ladder. I yawned and stretched and moped over to the door. I heard three more knocks on the door as I approached.

"Keep your shit together I'm coming!" I yelled harshly.

I opened the door and immediately was awake. There stood Kai in khakis and a shirt I bought him for Christmas. He was looking really good at the moment and it made me mad that he still hasn't asked me out.

Side note, Kai and I have gotten super close. We are "talking" and spend all of our time together. We surf together almost everyday and I am convinced I'm in love. But he still hasn't asked me out so apparently he doesn't feel the same

"What the hell are you doing awake this early?" I asked.

"I just wanted to visit" he answered pushing his way through the door.

He headed straight towards the Kureig and began to make coffee. I on the other hand climes back into my bed. I started to drift off when suddenly the shrill beep of the coffee maker alarmed. Kai pored two cups one with half and half, and 2 teaspoons of sugar (for me) and one just plain black (for him). He knew exactly how to make my coffee. He knew everything about me! I knew everything about him! Why can't he ask me out?!  He handed me the coffee then grabbed my laptop. He climes in bed next to me and we watched an episode of The Vampire Diaries. When the episode was over I stood unlaced our hands and got out of bed.

"What know?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He chuckled.

"I mean you just showed up. What are our plans for the day?" I chuckled back.

We talked for a while and decided to go skating. Kai had his board with him. I assume he road it here. I got dressed, I threw on a Vans shirt, jean shorts, my maroon vans and one of my Vans SnapBacks. I left my hair straight, and grabbed my board.

Kai and I have been skating for about an hour and I was very hungry. I'm always hungry, and in top of that I skipped breakfast. It was only ten so I'm sure we could get food somewhere.

"I know you're starving by now so let's get some pancakes!" Kai suggested.

Pancakes are my favorite! And Kai knew that. We stopped at I hop and ate some pancakes as planned then we skated to the pier where Kai and I almost got arrested for jumping off of it. Those were good times. We walked along taking in the view. We reminisced about the time we jumped and considered jumping again. We didn't, which was probably the smartest thing to do. Next we went to the tattoo parlor where I got my first tattoo. We skated by but didn't stop.

For the next 3 hours we skated around to all of the places we did crazy things. Where I got my cartilage pierced, where I got my finger tattoo, where we always got to get pizza. And finally we stopped for ice cream. I got mint chocolate chip and Kai got Moose tracks. We happily ate our ice cream in silence. It wasn't awkward silence, but instead a peaceful,  reassuring silence.

"So, what has this day been?" I asked breaking the quietness

"You'll see." He answered

"Ugh you know I hate surprises! Just tell me!"

"No! You'll just have to wait this time." He replied with a smirk.

When we finished our ice cream we skated towards the beach. We went to the place Kai taught me how to surf at and there was a surf board stuck standing vertically in the sand. It was a tie die bored and on the front it had a big "M". For Malakai I suppose.

"You got a new bored?!" I squealed in excitement because Kai needed a new one.

"Well I guess you could say that, look on the other side"

I walked around to the back side of the bored and there was a poster hanging on it. The poster said "if there is one thing I love more than hitting the waves, it's you." I tuned around with a confused look on my face and saw Kai standing there with flowers.

"Maya Williams, will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" He asked.

I couldn't say anything. I was so happy words couldn't exit my mouth, which at this point was wide open. I ran up to him and jumped in his arms. I looked into his deep blue eyes and mustered to say "yes".  After that we stayed there for a while, him holding me in his arms starring at eachother. Until finally I couldn't take it anymore so I smashed my lips into his. We kissed for a while and broke apart. I hugged him once more and kissed him on the cheek.

"Finally" I giggled.
