I woke up in Kai's bed and to my dismay saw no sign of Kai. He must've been making coffee for us or something. I got up and threw one of his hoodies on over my bikini that I fell asleep in. I walked out and the smell of fresh coffee lifted threw the air. I walked over to the coffee machine and looted a cup doctoring it up with cream and sugar. I walked out to the front porch and plopped down on the porch swing next to Kai.
"Good morning!" I chimed
"Morning." Kai replied happily.
We sat there in silence sipping our coffee until we decided to hit the waves. I left my board at his house since we always surfed here. I threw on a surf suit and headed out making my way down toward the water. Kai trailed close behind. Unfortunately there were hardly any waves so it looked like we were going to be paddling around more than anything.
"So have you watched the news lately?" Kai asked.
"What?" I chuckled. Kai wasn't really one for watching the news and he knew I wasn't either.
"I'm serious there is some crazy shit happening." He said sounding slightly worried.
"What do you mean?" I asked also slightly worried.
Kai proceeded to explain to me how the president had gotten upset with the leader of china at a foreign affairs meeting and had said belligerent things. Apparently China was vet in happy and had talked several times about attacking troops we had in Syria. Things were not looking good but I wasn't too upset. Most of this stuff is just news hype and it always blows over.
" well on a lighter note..." Kai continued " I got promoted at work and they are thinking about selling my board design!"
"Really?! That's awesome!" I exclaimed.
Kai had tried designing a new board for years but they were just never successful, but he entered some competitions with his newest design and won catching the attention of a few buyers. This was great news! I was so proud of him.
We surfed and talked for an hour then I decided I should probably head home and hang out with Malia. Kai had to work anyway so I wasn't too upset I had to leave him.
"Honey I'm home!" I yelled as I walked in
"About time you got here! I don't know why you had to ditch me to go fuck your boyfriend! That party would've been lit!." Malia yelled. Half joking, half angry.
"I'm sorry! I really am, but I left him so we could hang out today!" I said with a pout on my face.
"Ugh I hate you." She said surrendering to me.
"Love you too"
Mal and I sat around, ate chips and binge watched Grey's for about 3 hours then we decided to get dressed and go out looking for an adventure. Malia took a picture of me to put on her story. She captioned it with 'Spring break well spent❤️"(The picture below.)
