Chapter 8

I woke up and Zanara was still asleep, I snuck out of the bed and put on my jeans and a t-shirt. My hair was tousled but it looked nice. I walked into the kitchen where the noises were coming from to see everyone eating breakfast and watching the news.

"Can you guys keep it down?"

"Does the little prince need more sleep?" Jelani asks.

"No but the princess does." I reply.

"I love who you say you're the king when you don't do anything, you just stand around. Shouldn't you be off signing treaties or some shit?"

"I haven't been crowned yet, Friday is the first step."

"What the hell is tomorrow?" Jelani questions.

"zanara and I are going to a press conference." I look at Ty, "Could watch Ashton again?"

Ty replies, "Won't the press want to see him?"

"That doesn't mean they will. I don't want to expose him right away." I reply.

"So why does she need sleep?" Jelani asks.

"She's had a rough couple of nights."

"Oh really, little action mr. King daddy." He says. Ivy nudges him

"No, Zanara was drugged, and her memory was wiped the only thing she didn't remember was me, luckily we got her to a doctor and everything is back to normal. The next week is going to be tough though too, so take it easy on her Jelani."

"What did I do?"

Words could not describe my anger, he knew what he did to Zanara, she hated him but when she was in labor she missed him so much, either way she suffered. I walked back to the bedroom and cleaned it up a bit. I went to the bathroom and cleaned myself up a bit. Zanara shifted in the bed. She looked like an angel, simply indescribable, perfection. I couldn't stop smiling, so I climbed back into bed and wrapped my arms around her. Her eyes flashed open and she yawned.

"I had the best dream last night, we were, ahhh it was perfect."

I smile, "thats wasn't a dream."

She blushes and moves closer kissing me. She crawls on top of me rubbing against my body my hands wrap around her waist and she feels under my shirt.

I pull away, "Zanara we have to do something's today."

"Can't they wait."

She kisses me again and I almost go with it but then there was a knock on the door.

Zanara rolled off of me and I got up to answer the door, it was Ivy, "sorry but Jelani is getting antsy."

I nod my head and close the door Zanara shuffles to get dressed, she's wearing the same thing as the night before. She kisses me and walks out the door, I follow her out and we reach the living room. Zanara sits down next to me.

"What's going on?" She asked.

"We are going to talk about the upcoming week. It's going to be really complicated but everyone understands what happening." I reply. "We have a press conference tomorrow so the people of the realm know what's going on. Ashton won't be going because it's unsafe and the press will have a field day with him. Zanara feel free to answer any questions you would feel comfortable asking. Jelani, Ivy and Ty have agreed to come with us, they will be answering some questions as well and they will be our body guards. Avery is staying here with her family. And most of the people that came with Avery are leaving to go back into the real world. The press will want to see Ashton eventually, but they have to wait at least another week. With all the people that are entering and leaving the castle we need a bit of security, so I'm getting guards again."

"So what about Ashton?" She asked grabbing my hand.

"I have a baby monitor on me constantly, he's in a safe place and no one else know's where he is other than me."

She nodded her head and everyone left the room except for Jelani. Jelani walked up to Zanara, I was supposed to leave but I decided to stay with my arm around Zanara's shoulder.

"Zanara, I was thinking, maybe, we could hang out today."

She looks at me, wanting to stay with me but she knew she should go. Zanara gets up and starts to walk away but I quickly got up and grabbed her by the waist and kissed her gently at first but then the kiss turned deeper. Just as she was going to lose control I pulled away. She looked up at me wanting more but she eventually turned and walked towards Jelani who was bright red. I smiled and walked back to the bedroom. And laid back on the bed, amazing simply amazing. What did I wait so long? I couldn't stay away from her, my self control was running on empty and I needed to get it back. I walked downstairs and ran into the woods. Wild blood was what I needed.
