My soul rose up out of my body and into the air. I looked down upon me and everything that surrounded me. The pool of blood was getting bigger by the second, and more and more blood gushed out of the hole that was in my chest, no longer plugged by the kitchen knife.
So this is what being dead is like...
Up and up I went, through the roof and into the night sky that surrounded my neutral body, that was surprisingly glowing. It was a faint glow, but it was there.
The stars got bigger as I rose higher into the clouds, and then I suddenly stopped. City lights flickered below in the darkness, and vagabonds wondered up and down the streets.
Winters in London are cold and dark, so most were inside except for the homeless, but they were keeping warm with the clothes they had and a barrel of fire in front of them.
Behind me came a creak, like a gate that hadn't ever been oiled opening after a long time of stillness. I turn around to see that I was in fact correct. A large silver gate rose up out of the clouds, glistening as the light of the moon bounced off its hinges and lock.
Standing behind the gate was a man with large, white, feathery wings, and a woman I never thought I'd see again.
