Trouble with the Chadwicks

Back Home.... Well Sorta

Alex POV

I sat back in my seat and prepared for the long flight ahead. I didn't know how long the flight was but I honestly didn't care. All I know is my brother decided to send us to Washington. I don't know why. I mean me and M grew up in Texas but apparently M's older brother Mason is in Washington with his wife Summer and their one and a half year old son Ryder.

"Why did Drew send us away?" I looked over at M and shrugged. I wasn't really in the mood for anything. I haven't even smiled since the day me and Wes broke up.

"Alex-"

"Martha don't start." she sighed and went back to reading her book. I looked out the window and tried to prevent the tears from falling. I can't believe he did that, and then my brother decides to send us off?

He should've gotten rid of the Strombergs but No he decides to get rid of his family so he gave Mason a call and he was more than happy to take us in. I guess being back with Mason would be cool. I haven't seen him since the summer. I kind of missed my cousin. the only good thing about going is I didn't have to deal with the drama going on.

I didn't know how long I was lost in thought because next thing I knew was that we were landing. I sighed and groaned. I grabbed my bags while M got hers and we got off to look for Mason.

"Do you see him?" I shook my head no.

"Alex, Martha?" we turned around.

"Mason!" Martha yelled and ran towards him. They had a bro/sis moment so I looked down biting my lip tears threatening to fall.

"Hey Alex." I nodded.

"You alright?" I nodded again.

"Alright guys c'mon lets get your bags and head to the house. Summer's making food." we took our bags and got in his car. I wonder how long Drew plans on leaving us here.

M's POV

I missed my brother so much. I hate to say it but I'm kind of glad Drew sent us away to live with Mason. I mean sure I miss Keaton but he did cheat on me with Jacky.

"So how was California?" Mason asked.

"Ohh it was awesome. I loved it there. It's different than Texas though. The waves at California are better."

"Any guys?" I tensed up I'm pretty sure Alex did to.

"Umm no none. I was just so busy with school you know?" Mason nodded. We made conversation though Alex stayed quiet the entire time. We finally got to the house and it looked the same as before. It had Christmas decorations now. We went inside and were greeted with the sweet smell of spaghetti.

"Mason is that- Oh my goodness Martha, Alex? Is that you? You guys look different! Sure it's been like a few months but my goodness you girls have grown. Ohh I'm so glad you girls are okay. We heard what happened and we were so worried. Oh let me go get Ryder." she hugged and us and went to bring Ryder.

"Lali." Alex turned at the sound of her nickname. She saw Ryder and gave a small smile.

"hey buddy. Miss me?" Ryder tried walking towards her but failed. Alex caught him before he fell and carried him. She gave him a small kiss and passed him to me.

"Alright girls I'll show you to your rooms." we followed Summer. My room was awesome. I had a view of the backyard and the side of the house.

"Alright what happend?"

"What?"

"Martha something happened and I want to know." I sighed and told her everything, from Wes and Alex fighting to the day we left.
