When you alighted from the train, the first person you saw was Sei-kun. He waved at you and you smiled in response.
'Hello, Sei-kun.'
'Hello (F/n).'
He smiled and pulled you into a hug. You quickly pulled yourself out and smiled awkwardly. Sei-kun chuckled and escorted you into the car. It has been a long time since you sat in that car. They still used the same floral Car Freshener and the driver was still the same Mr. Han. When Mr. Han saw you, for the first time, he turned to look behind at you, instead of looking at the rear view mirror like before.
'(L/n)-san? You're back?'
You smiled gently and replied,
'It is nice to see you again Mr. Han.'
He smiled back and turned to face the front. He started driving, and took the long way to the Akashi Mansion. It has been a long time since you last visited Kyoto. You smiled at every place you had visited in the past. Your favourite restaurant, favourite playground, the supermarket you always went and lastly, Rakuzan High School. You smiled faded when you past the building. You looked back into the car, and looked down on your lap.
(Akashi's POV)
I stood at the train station, tapping my feet impatiently, waiting for the time (F/n) would finally arrive. I can't believe I actually got her to come back home. I thought she would reject me, because of Ryota, but she agreed. This is a good sign. She is coming back to me. Like what I told Ryota, she will become mine, finally.
When she stepped out of the train, I smiled at her with joy. Finally. She is here, back with me. Within this short period of time, I will make her mine.
After exchanging a few words, I escorted into the Limo. I made sure the same limo we used to take to Rakuzan was the one being used. I know, it will bring her a sense of nostalgia and it may convince her to stay. When Mr. Han saw her, he looked shocked that she was back. He told me he really missed her, and reprimanded me a few times for letting her go. This was the only time someone else other than my father reprimanded me, but I accepted it, as yes, it was a huge mistake to let her go.
Mr. Han took the long way home, and being the usual driver for her in the past, he knew where all her favourite spots in Kyoto are. He brought her around her favourite places, but lastly, he drove us past Rakuzan. Once (F/n) saw Rakuzan, her face changed and she stopped looking out of the window and looked down. I glared at Mr. Han for a second and looked at her. She looked broken. Did Rakuzan break her so bad?
I wanted to pat her shoulder, but I decided not to. I have to take this slow and easy. I have her ease her back here, and she will be back to me.
(Third POV)
When Mr. Han drove to the gates of the Akashi Mansion, you smiled and a sense of nostalgia returned. It has been a long time since you came to his Mansion. This was the place where you spent more than half of your life and of course, it was great to be back, even for a short while. When you came out from the car, you were greeted with many familiar faces. All the helpers, they were still here. They all greeted in unison,
'Welcome home, (L/n)-sama.'
They bowed all together. You smiled and asked them to just call you (F/n). There is no need for formalities as you were just a young guest staying for a short while. You then entered the mansion, and saw Mrs Lee. She was the helper you were closest too and was the one who raised you since you were little. She helped you with many things and supported everything you do. She was the one who helped you packed to leave. It indeed broke her heart to see you leave, but she also felt that this would spread your wings to shine as bright as you can be, and she was right. You ran away from being under Sei-kun's shadow, and shined.
'Welcome home (F/n)-sama, it is great to have you back home.'
You smiled at her, then gave her a hug. You really missed her. She was almost like a mother to you.
'I missed you so much, but I am not here to stay. I will only be here for a short time, but I will stay in contact with Sei-kun, so we will talk often through the phone!'
Her smile than faded a little, then quickly, turned into a forced smile. She excused herself and left. You know that you had disappointed her, but you can't stay here forever. You can't leave Eli-chan and Ryota-kun. You quickly said a 'See you later' before she disappeared from your sight and then walked to your old room.
It was kept the way it was. Your wooden framed single bed, with your favourite red bed covers. Your old toys were still here, in your toy chest and all your books and posters are still there, left untouched. This room has always indeed looked different from the rest of the mansion. It looked simple, with not over the top furniture. You flopped onto your bed. You missed how this bed felt. It was just right, and there was never another bed like this. You then looked over at your toy box, and opened it. Inside contained all your toys that you left behind. You missed them all and still remembered all their names. You then took them all out and play with them again, just like how you did in the past.
You played until you heard a knock on your door. You quickly threw back all the toys and rushed to open the closed door. It was a helper that you have never met before, reminding you that it is dinner time and you are to head to the dinning hall. You thanked the helper before leaving to the dinning hall.
You stepped into the dinning hall, and it became grander than what it was before. It had a huge chandelier hanging above and a huge mural painted on the wall. In the middle, there was a long table, with 3 sets of cutlery being set. You saw Mr. Akashi and Sei-kun, Mr. Akashi sitting in the middle, and Sei-kun on his right. You took the place on his left and greeted the both of them. Mr. Akashi smiled gentle at you and started asking how are you and where have you been. The two of you conversed whist waiting for food to arrived.
When the food arrived, the two of you continued talking, as Sei-kun remained silent. Mr. Akashi noticed it and asked Sei-kun whether he had anything to ask. He just sliently ate his food, and left without saying a word.
You looked at him leave and you felt broken inside. Maybe it was because it spend the whole afternoon cooped up in your room. You faced became wrinkled with worry.
'Don't bother about Seijuro. He has been a good son, but since a few years ago., he would sometimes be lost in his own thoughts and have this moment. I have been trying to get him to talk about his thoughts, but he always keeps it to himself.'
It must be the stress, you thought.
(Akashi's POV)
During dinner, all I could think about was (F/n). I am addicted to her. I want her, she is mine. I need to make her mine. She is so close, but yet so far. I need to convince her to stay. I love her, I cannot live any longer without her. Don't leave please, stay at home please.
Welcome home, (F/n).
