Mac sat at his spot outside in the garden. He was meditating and trying to get into his zone. His body was relaxed his mind wasn't. He kept thinking back about that guy at the museum. It was scary how half his face was covered in metal and that red eye watched him.

Someone tapped his shoulder "Hey Mac," a kid said. Mac opened one eye and looked at the boy behind him. The two kids were runaways, one with faded black hair and the other with ginger hair "We've got a bet for you," the ginger said.

Mac opened the other eye and looked at the boys "What is it?" He asked. Somebody actually talking to him that wasn't old or trying to beat the living snot out of him.

The two smiled "Bet you can't go into Headmaster Lloyd's office," The faded haired boy said.

Mac shrugged "That sh-"

"And take something from his office to prove it," the ginger added.

Mac stared at the blankly for a few seconds "What am I getting out of this if I do it?" He asked.

The two boys shrugged "We'll be your friends," the faded black haired boy suggested.

Mac pondered the thought then sighed "you know that either he'll kick me out or kick you out for this," he said.

Both boys smirked "Do it now while he's away," the ginger said. Mac stood up and brushed the dirt from his pants and started walking.

When he got to the office he used his element and rose his feet off the ground a few centimeters. He opened the door and walked in. The office was mostly darkened but Mac could make out the outlines of somethings. Mac looked around 'What should I take?' He thought. It had to be something small but also something that could be bought elsewhere. He finally spotted it, the scroll on the wall. It probably wasn't really important, unlike the few pictures on the desk. Mac glanced at them. One was of a younger adult Lloyd with his teammates and friends all grouped together. Another was of a slightly older Lloyd with a woman who had blond hair just like him. Mac smiled at the affection between two. 'Why didn't they have a kid?' Mac thought. He shook his head and took the scroll and opened it. He barely understood what it meant.

Near lies the child of metal and ice.

In the forest find the one hiding in the iron tree.

Next find the child that crackles of lightening.

Just nearby is the water's child.

At last find the one who soul is hot as the metal they bend.

The door handle turned and Mac panicked. He quickly went into the closet and raised himself up to the roof then curled in to fit. Headmaster Lloyd walked into his office with someone. "I am aware of what's going on and would like to be of services but I'm old now and have a school to take care of," he said.

The other person sighed "Lloyd we need someone to help, Zane is useless when he's shutdown and nobody besides Zane and yourself knows where the other ninjas are," they said.

Lloyd shook his head "After the last evil was defeated, The others and I choose to settle down and have a normal life and a regular family, we are done," The silver haired man explained. The person went to speak but Lloyd pinched the bridge of his nose "I'm not hearing anymore of this, please leave my office and don't bother any of my students on your way out," He stated. The stranger left without another word.

Mac tucked the scroll into his shirt and slowly moved down to the ground then opened the closet door "Headmaster Lloyd?" He squeaked.

Lloyd looked at him with sudden concern "Mac? Why are you in the closet?" He asked.

Mac looked at the ground "Those kids that were bullying me, shoved me in there saying a teacher's pet lives in the closet," He lied.

Lloyd just looked ready to hit something "I'll talk to them later, what I'd like to know is how much did you hear?" Lloyd asked.

Mac looked at the empty spot on the wall "I heard about when you came in with that person," he said.

Lloyd shook his head "Well then that's not of much concern." He started leading Mac to the door "Let's g-"

"What did they mean by Zane is shutdown?" He asked.

The older man flinched at the question "There's been something going on at the museum but none of the officers have been able to catch the culprit," he said.

Mac looked at the floor board as they walked "Could I help?" He asked.

Lloyd shook his head "I'm sorry but that's a no, you are still too young to do something dangerous," he said.

Mac stopped and stared at Lloyd "Really? You were the one who released the serpentine at a young age," the blackish brunette informed. The older man looked away slightly embarrassed "I was young and angry when I did that,"

"But you still did it knowing what would happen if it worked,"

Lloyd shook his head with a laugh "When did you get so smart?" He asked.

Mac shrugged "I study a lot, so does that mean I can help?" He asked. Lloyd sighed "Alright but if you get hurt in anyway you are no longer to be involved," he instructed. Mac nodded happily.
