To See

Chapter 4

We pull in to Alex's drive, and he hops out " bye Melina I will text you later" he tells me and slings his bag over his shoulder and walks into his house. I back out and start to my house, I walk into my house and see my parents watching T.V " hey mom, hey dad" I say to them they turn to me "hey, how was school?" Dad asked my Father is 6 ft and has brown hair and blue eyes. "It was okay" he nods and goes back to the T.V "how was work mom?" My mother is the average height for a women 5'4 she has dirty blonde hair and light brown eyes, she smiles at me " really boring" I nodded "okay well call me when supper is ready ?" I said as I started to my room "okay honey I will" I shut my door and plopped on my bed.

I woke up and looked around my room my eyes stopped at my window. The curtains are drawn back, and a pair of golden eyes are looking at me a shiver of fear runs down my body I am frozen in fear. I blink and the eyes are still there, and I scream loud I hear my parents footsteps and it is gone in a second leaving me terrified.

My parents rush in and look around the room and right now they looked ready to attack. They turned on the lights and mom walked over to me I saw dad sniff the air, and look at mom he proceed to check the room. Mom came and hugged me with worried eyes "What happened?" I shook my head " it was just a dream i'm fine" I told them she looked at me and said " are you okay it sounded pretty bad do you want to talk about it ?" I shook my head once more now my dad came to my window and closed the curtains after checking outside. Dad came and sat on my bed and placed a hand on mine " if you are sure just let us know if it happens again okay?" I nod he smiles at me and mom "now lets go eat I smell my wonderful cooking" mom glares at him we laugh "we know good and well you can not even boil water " she gets up and leaves I laugh and smile as we go to the table.

Supper was amazing I just had a weird feeling like I was being watched. Mom and Dad kept asking if I was okay I told them I was okay, but I don't think they believed me I will admit that I was acting a little jumpy. I went back to my room and saw my phone was ringing I ran to it. I saw it was Alex it is then I realize what the time is 6:15 " Hey Alex"  he doesn't answer "Alex?" I ask again "Hey Mel are you okay you sound a little off?" I take a deep breath.

Should I tell him? I mean I didn't even tell my parents he must have figured something was up by me taking a deep breath then going silent. I go to speak but he speaks "Melina if something is wrong, or something happened you can to tell me" he has always been a little protective "Alex I am fine I just had a bad dream that's all" I tell him hopefully he will take it "okay if you are sure, but you are so telling me tomorrow" he added emphasis to 'so' I smile "I will Alex" I reassure him "Promise?" I nodded even though he cannot see me "I pink promise, okay I am tired and I still have homework to do see you tomorrow bye" I head to my book bag to get my math homework "Goodbye" with that I plop in the chair at my desk and get working.
