Chapter 6

Alex looked deep in thought after I told him everything "that is weird Mel" I nod " listen if anything else happens you need to call me ASAP okay?" I nod he had a strict tone I have never heard him sound this protective. We pull into the school I get out he stays in the car " hey are you coming ?" he tapped his fingers, and this means he is thinking on what to say " uh...I will be back later around lunch time I have something I need to do." "okay... I will see you later " he nods and speeds out of the school parking lot. I stand there looking at where he left I shake my head he was acting weird I shake it off and head to class.

Alex's POV

I needed to talk to my Dad we noticed that Melina's parents have been acting weird lately I pull in my drive, and park my car. I jump out and slam the door and see his car I walk into the house " Dad?" no answer he is probably in his office. I jog up the stairs and make sure to knock on the door " come in" I walk in he looks at me " what are you doing you are suppose to be at school with Melina" I nod and walk over to him he continues with his paper work " I know, I know listen I think our suspicions about her parents were right " he stops and puts down his pen. I cross my arms and sit on the edge of his desk he leans back and holds a hand to his chin looking in thought " this is what she told me. I take in a breath. last night she saw a figure outside her window. 

His eyes shoot to mine and lean forward " Is she alright?" I nod "yeah she seemed startled and even more so because of what she heard her parents say this morning outside her door." he stood " what did they say?" I stand as well " she said that she heard them say 'how much longer do you think we can keep this up?' and 'if something happens we will figure out a plan'. He walked so he was standing in front of me " It seems they are just trying to keep her from harm. I nod. but we will be visiting our 'friends' later this week just keep me posted so I can keep 'them' updated about Melina okay?" I nod and bow my head and left and hopped back in my car and drove back to school.
